I can't believe this bullshit show has been allowed to continue for 4? 5? seasons while the assholes at Fox canceled Sarah Conner Chronicles.

fuckers. I hate TV.

Arguement holds more weight if you use Firefly instead.

I don't understand the Joss Whedon fanboi crew. never made sense to me. Never saw Firefly, but I did see Serenity. not really....impressed, I guess.

the greater crime though is that Dollhouse was allowed to continue the same time that terminator was canceled. Dollhouse is some serious garbage.

I liked Buffy reruns while I was in high school.

.....when I was that age, you know.

its sad, basically you want sylar to come back and kill everyone. that would be just fine at this point.

claire? thats the character they keep?

the new circus master man is hardly compelling.

the japanese subtitled bits are getting old as hell.

deaf girl...she can diaf as well.

This season absolutely sucks. I'm curious but not captivated in the least like the first season.

Probably the only good thing about the show now is the acting of some. Sylar (zachary quinto) is awesome, Nathan is good, his wicked mom is good, and hayden pantytear's dad is a good actor as well imo. The new irish leader is pretty good.

Too bad their script is pure dogsh!t.

yea the entire tone of the show no longer jives.
the indian/exotic music was fine when that dr sharesh or whatever was the narrator and all that. but with him basically gone it doesn't make much sense anymore, it just gets annoying.

Loved it first season...completely lost interest in it second season...haven't watched an episode in a LONG time. The Mexican senorita was hot in it though.

I too stopped watching after the second season. Sounds like I am not missing much.

No, we're not talking about the usual "return to the kind of storytelling we loved in the first season" or "Kill Mohinder." (Not that killing Mohinder is ever a bad idea.) Here are a trio of concrete, honest-to-goodness course corrections.

Oh, yes, it's bad. The badness of Heroes seems to grow, exponentially, every week. (Poor Annalee, having to endure it on a regular basis — and pay attention enough to write on it.) The thing of it is, you could fix Heroes relatively quickly. Oh, there will be blood involved — as there usually is when there's change.

STEP ONE: Kill the following three characters
Hiro Nakamura. It's clear the writers don't know what to do with him, given last week's geek-babble la-di-da. Be done with him. It'll also cut down on the temporal storytelling — time travel is to Heroes what the holodeck was to Star Trek: The Next Generation: a dramatic crutch that long outlived its usefulness. The death of Hiro will also let you tell some interesting stories with Ando, the sidekick who's gotta step up into the big leagues. Or to never have us travel to Japan ever again. Or read anymore subtitles.

Sylar. He should've died at the end of the first season. But Sylar's, and Zachary Quinto's, popularity saw to it that he endured, and so we've had to endure him. But he doesn't want anything — and a villain without a plan is just a child behaving badly. Besides, the fact that all of the "heroes" combined haven't been able to kill him in four years renders said heroes woefully inadequate. The show needs a new Big Bad, and badly...we'll get to that later.

Noah Bennett. He's a hunter who no longer hunts. He mopes and goes on dates. As such, should be put out to pasture. What dramatic purpose does he serve? He can do more for us in death that he could in life, and that's...

STEP TWO: Make Claire Bennett the villain
With her father gone, she's sent into a spiral of hate and despair and pain. Maybe she comes to the conclusion that the world is a better place, for everyone, if there were no abilities — and no one with abilities. Or, perhaps, she decides the only way to be "normal" is to make everyone "abnormal." Or come up with something better. That's what you're paid for. But an invulnerable girl who's got personal ties to all the heroes, knows what makes them all tick, and has access to her father's files and contacts? She'd make a formidable villain. And surprising.

STEP THREE: Cancel it.
Set an expiration date. That's what rescued Lost from it's third season aimlessness: deciding when it would all come to a close. Heroes hasn't been building towards anything, and so every perambulation of the story has just been gear-spinning folly. Sound and fury signifying an hour I couldn't spent revisiting the joys of ham radio. Focus, and give us the big, honking superhero fight we've been waiting for. Go out with a bang, rather than simply limp into inconsequence.

Serenity was merely the closer, the attempt to please the fans, and while was enjoyable, Firefly as a product was in whole a better show.

Claire and her motherly, lesbian, college script is really tiring and boring. She must have got the big contract and they are obligated to give her 20 minutes of face time a show. I really don't have to explain why she is so bad as many of you have already done that.

They must think the main audience is teenage girls. All the characters are in emotional turmoil all the time, even the main bad guy.

The show is dog shit. I can't remember when I stopped watching, but I'm pretty sure this was the straw that broke the camels back: Sylar had turned good, which was totally unbelievable. I finally accepted him as good by the end of the season NOT because it made sense in the slightest, but because he was the only character who wasn't a complete dumb shit retard. Then they said "Ha! He's evil again." After having enduring barely coherent plots and terrible scripts, tons of throwaway crapass characters and horrendous forgetting of abilities by the writers I just could not absorb any more bullshit of that magnitude while waiting for them to pull it out of the rough.

They have no idea what they're doing with any of the characters. They have no idea what they are doing with the plot. It is just an abortion.

Heroes is an extremely good show to use for drinking games. Drinking every time you hear "powers" or "special" or, my personal favorite, "bag and tag" will get you drunk fast.

I stopped watching Heroes about halfway through season one because I could see the show coming off the tracks then. Earlier this weekend, for some strange reason, I decided to sit down with the wife and watch some of the latest episodes from the current season. Wow. It was literally painful.

I had to ask what happened to all of the old characters, and she didn't really know or was confused, and she's watched every episode. There were about a gazillion new characters, and I had to ask who they are and WTF is their point in the show, and she didn't really know that either, despite having watched every episode.

Hiro sucks now. He was awesome early on, but it's clear that the writers have no idea what to do with him. Time travel should be used VERY sparingly, if at all, because it always opens up a huge can of worms that is better left closed.

Peter is an annoying, whiny emo boy who just grates on my nerves every time he is moping around on the screen.

Claire is just there because she's a cute blonde.

Syler is the only character I actually like, and he's barely even shown, and when he is, half of the time HE was being a whiny emo brat too!

Ugh...Heroes is a truly awful show. Nuke it from orbit. That's how it needs to end, ASAP. Glasses dude just says "Screw it!" and nukes everyone from orbit. Show over. Please!

PS - Sarah Connor Chronicles was terrible. As a big Ahnold and Terminator fan, SCC was absolutely dreadful.

I haven't watched the last 2 eps, but I've been wishing for Claire's death since season 2. She's absurdly irritating.

At this point, Heroes would be more successful marketed as a comedy imo.

1:10 until tonights episode in this timezone...am preparing now by wearing 'arrow thru the head' prop.

and great shows like Rome only get 2 seasons...

Rome was ended (I hesitate to say "Canceled") because it was hideously expensive to make (Season 1 was $100+ million) and the BBC didn't want to pay their part any more. Heller says he's working on a movie to cap it off, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

If you want to more appropriately direct your anger, you should be mad that NBC canceled "Kings" (among others) to free up space to start the Jay Leno Show.

SCC has nothing to do with Ahnold.

Frankly, even with its life cut short, i'd say SCC is a far better show than any of the Terminator movies have ever been.

I know it gets bashed a lot for so many reasons but I just can't stop watching it. :(

Did anyone see what happened on tonights episode after Sylar showed up at Parkman's house and told his wife that he was a friend and wanted to know where he was.

Nbc ran it long and the dvr cut it off.

This is almost true...but not quite. But SCC was indeed a fantastic program. (certainly better than T3 & Salvation, though)

I see that TNT or Spike or some such picked up some crappy show that was canceled last year...but no one has picked up SCC. :( but I'm sure it's ridiculously expensive to produce.
