Watching Directv on my PC, which video card?

I'm building a new computer w/ dual monitors and I'm interested in hooking up a Directv receiver through the video card to watch on one of the monitors. I'm looking at getting a Radeon X800 XL or the X850 w/ dual DVI. Can I hook up the Directv using S-video or RCA connetors and the sound to the soundcard and somehow watch it in a window? Do I need a PC-TV card? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Tammie

you need SOMETHING with video in, and it sounds like the radeon you're looking at is not it.

You probably want a PC TV tuner that also has svideo in.

Look at a VIVO model for your graphics card and you won't need a seperate capture card. With DirecTV, you'll be using the tuner from the STB, so you might as well just get a VIVO. All the X850 cards have VIVO (I believe) and there are VIVO X800XL models, so you want to check the specs.
