I hate movies that are about early American history. I just can't seem to stand that time period.

Exception:

Glory.

Mrsskoorb got bored of it within 30 min and I managed to get past its growing pains and finish it. It was ok, but vastly overrated.

overrated?
Maybe I missed the good reviews.
I had heard from several people that it sucked. Then I watched it and thought it was pretty good, so I was pleasantly surprised.
My wife really enjoyed it. But she has always really loved historical movies, museums, etc.

Overrated? Not at all. I didn't hear many talk or rave about it.

I enjoyed it, and I am an 18 y/o male (just for reference).

I didn't really mind Glory, but it was boring. I couldn't STAND to even FINISH Gangs of New York.
