Maybe I missed the good reviews.
I had heard from several people that it sucked. Then I watched it and thought it was pretty good, so I was pleasantly surprised.
My wife really enjoyed it. But she has always really loved historical movies, museums, etc.

Overrated? Not at all. I didn't hear many talk or rave about it.
