BTW OP if you cant watch a movie without posting about it online and cant get trough a event without posting it on your FB you have serious issues...

or your a 12 year old girl and should be watching Wizards of Waverly Place..

Man, saw some WofWP last night, that sidekick girl is getting chunky.

I'vw watched enough to know that it is 98% dog shit. Written and created by middle-aged "adults" with the mental capacity and experiences of a pubescent boy and the writing skills of an emo high school senior in some AP class or something.

So I assume you'll agree that Being John Malkovich sucks?

sorry, there is nothing remotely "mature," or inventive about anime. No, i don't dislike cartoons, in general, and I don't outright dislike some of the mainstream stuff that comes out of Japan, but the whole anime genre is garbage.

Since when was anime a "genre"? Anime is simply a term used to describe the style of animation that comes out of Japan; that's it. Animation. Story and writing have nothing to do with it. Anime encompasses everything from comedy, to drama, from kids shows, to soap operas.

This thread should now be about hating to watch movies at home with others who don't actually watch the movie.

I can only watch action movies with my Dad whenever I'm home because anything else he can't follow while he's on the computer or looking through mail or whatever. I understand he's busy and can't just sit and watch a movie, so I've learned to only put on the right kind of movie.

It's still terrible. Breaing it up into different styles does nothing to improve the quality.

so, anime is glorious and Charlie Kaufman's work is that of a lame emo boy?

lolno.

for one thing, you'll find all of that trash heap classified under "Anime" in any video store. We have stores here dedicated to all that teeny-bopper anime/manga shit as well.

it doesn't matter if it's comedy or teenage horror/porn, it's all trash. and it's all anime.

try to watch the old Transformers/Gi Joe/Voltron cartoons. pretty much the same stuff--really, really stupid. as such, it's great when you're a kid. and the animation is some of the worst in the business (I'm talking about the jap cartoons that have completely taken over these days--pokemon style and such: some of the worst animation ever)
