I have a question about WatchESPN and hopefully someone here way smarter then me has an answer. The US world cup game is tomorrow at 3pm in the central time zone. I work til 4:30. I would like to come home fire up watch espn(either on my xbox, roku or just a web browser) and select the live broadcast of the game and have it automatically start at the beginning so as not to spoil the score/ending. I unfortunately have not way to record this, so streaming is my only option. My googlefu has failed my and i have not found a way to make this work.

At this point my best option is to cover part of the screen with paper so i don't see the score and then rewind back to the beginning. I don't like this option all that much due to the high probability of spoilers. At least the app on the xbox is good about not showing scores when you are on the main screens.

Help me ATOT your my only hope.

Also i did not think this fit into the other forums, so please don't shoot me.

You're not going to be able to get them to stream if for you from the beginning, afaik. It's a live stream.

You might have to wait until the match is over and then watch it on replay. YMMV on the other platforms, but I just checked my WatchESPN Android app to see how the previous matches would show up and didn't see any spoilers along the way.

You can do this with the CBC stream, I would expect ESPN to have the same technology. You may need to just fire it up live, then click the beginning of the stream though; so just keep the sound off and avert your eyes to just the seek bar at the bottom, then click the beginning and it should work.

You can rewind back to the beginning. You have to fire the stream up and it starts live, then you can hit rewind and go all the way back to the start. It seems that since they allow you to do that, it would be trivial to give the button to just start it there, but i cant find one.

Edit:
I have also discovered in testing that it appears that is you select the Espn3 stream you can pause and rewind, while if you select the watchespn stream its just a live stream with no controls. You end up getting like 4 stream to choose from when trying to watch something.
