I've never been much into watches, I wear a silver Seiko to work everyday that I'm not crazy about. I got it about 10 years ago as a gift. So I pretty much always wore that and never thought about it.

Then, about 4 years ago, I was at my uncle's Christmas party and he was wearing a watch that blew me away. It had a large bezel (43mm) but somehow looked classy rather than gaudy. It had a simple white dial with proportionate sized numbering and fairly simple hands. The strap was leather with a clasp.

I asked him about it and he told me that it was a "Daniel JeanRichard Bressel". I scoured the internet but they had recently stopped making them and they were almost impossible to find. It looks like new they were going for around $1,700. I found some on ebay but they had black dials and I didn't like the way they looked.

I've basically been trying to find that watch ever since. I don't know if I'll be able to spend over $1,000 on it; but I'd be willing to spend a lot more than I would on just about any other watch.

I have a nice croton chrono and a real nice and big nautica chrono and 2 very old Frolex automatic watches that still run but sit in a box as they are too small for my big wrist ..

I have this one and this one..

I have a few more but those are the only two I actually wear now days.

I want something like this watch how it's black, solar, atomic and metal band but I'd love for it to be a digital/analog capable screen.

Haven't found the perfect one yet.

I might get that one though...

I like the G Shock models too. I got my eye on this black one. I think Amazon wants too much for it though.

I have a tag as my daily, and a coach as my going out watch

With the traditional C pattern on the watch and strap of the watch? Nice.

hah, it doesn't look like a girls watch =P

just looks like a movado with coach badges.

I don't believe in watches. They...do...not...exist.

I once found out that after ingesting 3 tabs of acid, nothing is able to ground you to reality except for a good watch. Thus, I always keep a good watch handy.

A watch is fine. But don't forget your towel.

I have a the basic swiss watch, been wearing it for somewhere around 8 years. I don't like metal bands, so I've had I think five bands on it over the years. The brass is showing through the paint just about everywhere on the watch.

I love it, I've never had a watch last as long as this one, and I plan to keep it basically forever. Also, as an engineer (going for a Ph.D.) it's unlikely that I'll ever need a fancypants dress watch, so I can probably get away with just wearing this forever.

Of course, fate's sense of humor would have me losing the watch forever tomorrow ... hopefully not.

Wow. You, sir, know your watches. I looked around and it looks like these things are going for around $3,500.

🙁

Guess I'll have to start putting in more hours at work.

Skagen, hands down. Titanium band, black or gunmetal. Ultra-light, ultra-thin, ultra-durable.
I hate Skagen watches. They look like women's bracelets. I'll take a nice chunky Omega or Breitling any day.

My beater Invicta auto orange diver. I also have a Seiko black monster auto diver, and a Citizen chrono.
