Watches

Skagen, hands down. Titanium band, black or gunmetal. Ultra-light, ultra-thin, ultra-durable.

Took a look at some on ebay, any idea what kind of batteries those things use? Just curious.

Why do I get the impression that having a piece of jewelry that looks like a watch is more important than telling time?

Because some people like form as well as function?

You're a cook right? Some people are foodies, others eat so they dont die. Same diff

Actually, I'm a Chef. Your simile is apt though. I do appreciate form as function. I was just observing, that to me, it seems that a good many ATOTers value form almost to the exclusion of function. Does it matter if it is digital or analog? Do you need the day and/or date displayed? Is an alarm needed? Do you need a back light or glow in the dark hands?

I have a Tag that is not too bad for a professional environment. I would like a Rolex or Omega next, I am not a fan of leather bands however.

The functions that people value most are still present. Adding more functions while preserving looks raises the price up substantially.

Same here, I have a tag and it looks good in the office and outside of work casually.

I'm a big fan of leather band watches. I only have 1 leather band watch (Bulova), but a piece of the dial is broken, so I dont wear it anymore. I'd like to get another leather band watch; I think they look very classy.

nice; my tag is a lower-end model, the formula. It has a white face and black bezel. I recently got the battery replaced. The jeweler had to ship it out because the watch would have to be resealed, etc. It took 3 weeks for the battery to be replaced. When I picked up the watch from the jeweler, the woman tried to sell me another more expensive tag. She told me it was time to upgrade
