Funny enough, I was just reading about the topic of how love scenes in big movies has been on a steep decline since the 90's in the current edition of Entertainment Weekly that has Game of Thrones on the cover.

Short version is movie studios decided in the 90's to target 14 to 24 year old males and now more or less insist on dropping any love scenes that have nudity in all scripts.

They claim the last big hit big budget movie to include nudity and love scenes was 16 year ago in the movie Titanic.
