I'm a soon to be 25 y/o male that lives on my own, I don't eat the best and really haven't had consistent home cooked meals since I lived at home with my parents about 5 years ago. This underlying thought of the movie that ever since about 20 years ago when the fast food crazy started more and more Americans have become more and more fat does seem to have a very good point.

Guess my point is this movie was more of an eye opener for me than anything else.

Good movie, but yes I do agree its very biased against the golden arches and anyone who lived that extreme of a diet would have negative effects also.

Just my two $00.02

Edit: I suggest watching it for those who have not, its been playing on Showtime lately.

Anyone ever go to the doctors from the movie?

That fat doctor was hilarious. "Your liver is like pate"..."we're going to do a rectal exam....I like to be more thorough than that...", "you general health is..uh-uh-uh-outstanding", "you're gonna die, you keep eating, you're gonna die!!!"

Lol, a friend of mine eats more fast food than that guy and weighs 150 pounds at 6'2"... For the rest of us though, there's nothing wrong it in moderation. I think the movie pushes the growing notion in this country that everything is someone else's fault. Can't fault the guy for making a quick buck I guess.

just sad you needed a movie to figure this out.

I already knew this, its just something I didn't give much thought to though until watching this movie.

BTW I'm not obese by any means but I also don't want to become obese either.

As usual, McDonalds is okay for you in MODERATION. If you gorge on food like the money-making vegan pansy scam artist called documentarian that made this movie, of course you will have health problems. People have lost weight on exclusive McDonalds diets. He had an agenda to fill before he even laid foot in McDonalds. Why can't you understand?

There was a piece on my local TV station on a guy that ate at McDonalds for the past few months and lost 50 pounds.

Simply put, it's up to you.

Yes. A friend of mine has it and all the Michael Moore "documentaries". We drank beer while watching it...had a blast picking it apart!

I guess I'm biased because I worked as a McDs slave in my teenage years ;)

I'm not saying I'm never going to eat fast food again, I just saying that I realize that I make a poor effort at cooking a well balanced meal either due to not knowing how to cook what I'd want or lack of time.

This made me give it more thought.

I don't get why people watch this movie and don't realize that he went to such an extreme to achieve that affect.

That's like saying if someone stops eating altogether for 30 days, of course they're going to get really unhealthy, but does it mean that eating less to try to lose weight is unhealthy?

The problem isn't that America is obese, it's that 95% of us aren't intelligent enough.

That sure is being stereotypical.

I watched it, but knew it was going to be stupid, as soon as I saw him eat till it made him sick. I think that was on about the third day. That's flippin' retarded!

I buy Wendy's or McDonalds value sandwiches a couple times per week. I'll buy a couple burgers, or a burger & fries. I eat till I'm full, then throw the rest away. WTF would somebody eat till they puke. Lost all credibility at that point!

Not very healthy to live in fear of enjoying yourself either, like I said, moderation is where it's at.

funny, I watched that too just 3 nights ago...

yeah, I did become a bit more caustious of what I am eating now (counting Calories and shti), but while watching the movie I am thinking who much fact is bended and twisted. The words like "Michael Moore" and "Jeremy Clarkson" come to mind.
