I posted the link not only for the reasons you give, but to give the chickenhawks a small taste of what war is really like.

With this kind of propaganda being put out by the terrorists and the fact that they seem to be able to keep coming up with suicide bombers, I have to wonder if we are making any real progress or if we are just being led around by our goverment's propaganda machine?

I have another good video that was emailed to me of an AC130 gunship blowing away 2 terrorists with a 40 mm cannon who were attempting to set up a roadside bomb ambush. It's black and white and taken from quite a distance but is really what war is all about, killing.

After looking at them ask yourself if people in a democracy don't have a right to know how long our leaders think it will take to wrap this up and what they plan on doing with our prisoners.

I think GWB should get on his knees and beg the rest of the world to help us get the hell out of there. Either that or give us a timeline on when we can expect to see an end to this. At least he could promise us that he will have it wrapped up by the end of his term.

Didnt watch the video but some of the Abrams I saw were destroyed in the early part of the war. Most likely from organized Iraqi army units with close ranged RPGs or even a well placed T-72.

The Abrams isnt what I would call a city tank like the Israeli tank. Close range will knock it out.

A RPG-7 nor a T-72 doesn't even remotely have the firepower to even dent any Abrams Tank, none. A RPG-7 would merly rock the tank and the T-72 would just scar it, most likely it was some serious artillary or some very well placed IEDs.

How much more serious does it get than the 105mm gun on a T-72 at close range?
Shermans could knock out Tigers and Panthers if they got close enough, same with our dinky Bazooka.

I am willing to bet an AP round has more penetrating power than an IED or artilery shell.
Arty shell is free falling and the ied is a shockwave.

Actually when I asked why you hated Americans I was referring to your general attitude toward your fellow countrymen and women in most of the other threads in which you post. Didn't really have anything to do with my stance on the war in Iraq or yours for that matter. You just seem really full of piss and vinegar in general more often than not.

Do you have any idea the shear size and weight of a Abrams? Or how much design they've put into the damn thing? It's basically unstoppable, there was one thing that I do that happen. A crewmen actually felt something hit his back while in the tank, a projectile actually peirced the hull of the tank. If you look hard enough they've got pics of it online.

Thanks for bringing up a comparrison between 21st Centrey Weapons and World War II era Weapons. When know how revalent those are today.

Why would he do that?

The US is doing fine contrary to popular belief (and media misconception). There are less than 10% of out available forces located in Iraq - not a stretch by any means. We have enough men in Europe, Korea, and Japan to fight two more Iraq wars at the same time before the military would be in trouble.

Furthermore, setting a date, timetable, or withdrawl plan is a) impossible, and b) STUPID. Why give your enemy what they are waiting for. We did this in Vietnam and it proved to be the downfall of the South - the North simple hunkered down until we were gone. Never mind the fact that they were literally months away from begging for surrender. Announcing a timeline gave them a goal, and they made it, and they took over the South after we left.

Pretty simple logic. Logic that the left (and terrorist sympathisers like you - if you are not indeed an actual terrorist (wondering where you got this propaganda?)) just does not have nor understand.

The only way we could have beat NV is to keep bombing them back into the stone age. What a nice way to convert a country to democracy, don't you agree? We dropped 7 million tons of bombs on the NV, but it wasn't enough.
