Where are you reading ambient from, G? Load seems kind of toasty to me, but as long as you don't artifact or glitch it should be okay.
My computer restarted one time after I exitted NFS2:U @ 90-93C Load. I'm reading my temperatures from Windows OS: Video Card Properties Settings. Perhaps should I contact BFG to RMA it?
Your ambient really shoots up after some load. How's your case ventilation? If possible, try getting some air moving through. As an example, properties reports 30c ambient, and that's after an hour of Tribes:V.
I get the same temp idle/load readings for the video card when running EA Tiger Woods 2004 and UT2004. Could it be the video card is overstressed alot more when running high resolution games (the NFS2:U is running @ 1024x1080 resolution, highest detail settings)?
I have the Lian Li case with the Top front bay and floppy bay open. One 80mm exhaust fan next to the CPU HSF is directlry below the PSU (next to the CPU's HSF). The fan of the HSF is on the right side blowing air towards the exaust case. Another 80mm intake fan (modified) is set near the open floppy bay. Beneath it are two 80mm circulation fans. Also the PCI exhaust blower is set between the video and the 3rd PCI slot TV tuner card.
I don't have a picture available right now. Here's a rough visual on the air ventilation, top to bottom:
Back of Case ---> Front of Case
--------------------------------------
PSU exaust
Case exahust --> CPU HSF fan towards the exaust --> Front Bay open
Video Card stock cooler ---> modified 80mm fan intake --> front floppy bay open
TV tuner card
PCI blower exaust ----> two 80mm fan circulation
I could try rearranging the Arctic Freezer HS so that the fan is directly above the GPU, which then blows the GPU core's hot air towards the aluminum HS heatspreader/PSU. However, I just ran out of thermal pastes >_<.
