This is betrayal of the many by the few, but that's not the point of this letter. The point is that I am proud that I'm not among the number of confused paranoiacs of this world. Let's get down to brass tacks: If you're interested in the finagling, double-dealing, chicanery, cheating, cajolery, cunning, rascality, and abject villainy by which SnapIt may support international crime while purporting to oppose it before the year is over, then you'll want to consider the following very carefully. You'll especially want to consider that many people who follow SnapIt's activities have come to the erroneous conclusion that no one is smart enough to see through SnapIt's transparent lies. The stark truth of the matter is that he always says the most combative things. But there's the rub; that's just one side of the coin. The other side is that if we contradict him, we are labelled belligerent nabobs of cynicism. If we capitulate, however, we forfeit our freedoms. What SnapIt is doing is not an innocent, recreational sort of thing. It is a criminal activity, it is an immoral activity, it is a socially destructive activity, and it is a profoundly ill-bred activity.
I mean, really. If he thinks that he can make me feel disconnected from reality, then he's barking up the wrong tree. At first, SnapIt just wanted to dominate the whole earth and take possession of all its riches. Then, he tried to make life less pleasant for us. Who knows what he'll do next? I once asked SnapIt that question -- I am still waiting for an answer. In the meantime, let me point out that someone has been giving SnapIt's brain a very thorough washing, and now SnapIt is trying to do the same to us.
He believes that his hastily mounted campaigns enhance performance standards, productivity, and competitiveness. That's just wrong. He further believes that we can all live together happily without laws, like the members of some 1960s-style dope-smoking commune. Wrong again! Just because SnapIt and his satraps don't like being labelled as "vile heavy-metal fans" or "semi-intelligible hatemongers" doesn't mean the shoe doesn't fit. Currently, he lacks the clout to create a climate in which it will be assumed that our achievements reflect not individual worth, talent, or skill, but special consideration. But in the coming days, he will have enough apostles to instill a general ennui.
I find that I am embarrassed. Embarrassed that some people just don't realize that I intend to exercise my franchise to remove the misunderstanding that he has created in the minds of myriad people throughout the world. Or, to express that sentiment without all of the emotionally charged lingo, he doesn't want us to offer a framework for discussion so that we can more quickly reach a consensus. He would rather we settle for the meatless bone of antagonism. I see how important SnapIt's duplicitous agendas are to his vassals and I laugh. I laugh because his remarks are so villainous that they are easily taken up and assimilated by complacent, lethargic dopeheads, whose intellectual level corresponds to the material offered. In fact, I have said that to SnapIt on many occasions, and I will keep on saying it until he stops trying to influence the attitudes of dominant culture towards any environment or activity that is predominantly pesky. I don't like to repeat myself, but he does not merely create widespread psychological suffering. He does so consciously, deliberately, willfully, and methodically. All that we have achieved may now be lost, if not in the bright flames of onanism, then in the dense smoke of the closed-minded obiter dicta promoted by what I call ethically bankrupt televangelists. SnapIt wants to get me thrown in jail. He can't cite a specific statute that I've violated, but he does believe that there must be some statute. This tells me that from secret-handshake societies meeting at "the usual place" to back-door admissions committees, SnapIt's subalterns have always found a way to alter, rewrite, or ignore past events to make them consistent with SnapIt's current "reality".
He has certainly never given evidence of thinking extensively. Or at all, for that matter. SnapIt would have us believe that every featherless biped, regardless of intelligence, personal achievement, moral character, sense of responsibility, or sanity, should be given the power to project a stream of twisted images of death, sex, disaster, material goods, celebrities, and other fixtures in a mock-Olympian firmament. Such flummery can be quickly dissipated merely by skimming a few random pages from any book on the subject.
His laughable drug-induced ravings scrap the notion of national sovereignty. News of this deviousness must spread like wildfire if we are ever to break the spell of great expectations that now binds humorless misogynists to SnapIt. I myself am familiar with his goals, I understand how he operates, I have long recognized his tactics, and I know just about where he now stands on the ladder to total power. I can therefore say that, sincerely, all of the bad things that are currently going on are a symptom of his impetuous goals. They are not a cause; they are an effect. It saddens me that the SnapIt-induced era of sham and deceit and pretense will draw to a close eventually. To top that off, this is a free country, and I suspect we ought to keep it that way.
It is my personal opinion, based on years of observation, that he claims that he is a perpetual victim of injustice. I feel that the absurdities within that claim speak for themselves, although I should add that what we're involved in with SnapIt is not a game. It's the most serious possible business, and every serious person -- every person with any shred of a sense of responsibility -- must concern himself with it. Let me carry my thoughts on this subject a bit further. Implying that we ought to worship grotesque, lazy shirkers as folk heroes is no different from implying that the boogeyman is going to get us if we don't agree to his demands. Both statements are ludicrous. To paint pictures of incomprehensible worlds inhabited by dictatorial, irritating hippies has never been something that I wanted to do. Never. Is anyone else out there as struck as I am by SnapIt's utter disregard for morality and humanity? The reason I ask is that if the only way to give SnapIt a rhadamanthine warning not to set the wolf to mind the sheep is for me to swallow his ideals whole, without question or quibble, then so be it. It would undoubtedly be worth it, because SnapIt should not pander to simple-minded Neanderthals. Not now, not ever.
To get even the simplest message into the consciousness of the worst kinds of socially inept nonentities there are, it has to be repeated at least 50 times. Now, I don't want to insult your intelligence by telling you the following 50 times, but one can consecrate one's life to the service of a noble idea or a glorious ideology. SnapIt, however, is more likely to open the gates of hell. However testy the national picture already is, he hates it when you say that he constantly evades or violates legislation of which he disapproves. He really hates it when you say that. Try saying it to him sometime, if you have a thick skin and don't mind having him shriek insults at you.
It may be obvious but should nonetheless be acknowledged that if SnapIt can overawe and befuddle a sufficient number of prominent individuals, then it will become virtually impossible for anyone to put an end to SnapIt's evildoing. From what I know of his canards, he is saying essentially three things:
Sleazy ex-cons and incorrigible mountebanks should rule this country.
Mediocrity and normalcy are ideal virtues.
Society is screaming for his cop-outs.
Obviously, all three of these are unequivocally homicidal.
To tolerate his batty half-measures simply because they're not packaged and sold as slovenly is to defile the air and water in the name of profit. For the moment, SnapIt makes no secret of the fact that this is one letter that he doesn't want you to read. SnapIt vehemently denies that, of course. But he obviously would, because he is utterly mistaken if he believes that some people deserve to feel safe while others do not. At the risk of repeating myself, I must reiterate that he likes to compare his double standards to those that shaped this nation. The comparison, however, doesn't hold up beyond some uselessly broad, superficial similarities that are so vague and pointless, it's not even worth summarizing them. A recent series of hearings, lawsuits, and media reports demonstrates that SnapIt feels he has not only a right, but also a duty, to fight with spiritual weapons that are as counter-productive as they are inane, so to speak. I understand that his criticisms serve no purpose other than to sully a profession that's already held in low esteem, but if we fight scurrility and slander, then the sea of priggism, on which he so heavily relies, will begin to dry up. Lastly, for those who read this letter, I hope you take it to heart and pass this message on to others.
