Wasn't Bin Laden our good friend because he was a freedom fighter?

Can the same be said of Bush, Obama, and Congress?

Havent Bush and Obama been more dangerous to confederalism than OBL was?

Was Bin Laden even dangerous at all? How in the fuck could he have been dangerous to confederalism if he encouraged Americans "some time in the 1990s" (which was before the imposter of him said that "americans were the biggest thieves in the world") to vote in "patriotic representative" and when he didnt have any contempt for americans?

Hasnt the centralization of power under Clinton, Bush, and Obama given you suicidal ideation? Wouldnt you rather be given death than continue to live under tyranny?

Anyway, I decided to ask because Dr. Paul said that Bin Laden was our good friend and a freedom fighter [link].

At one time all of Afghans freedom fighters were our "friends." But things changed and I do believe we did partially create OBL but Clinton Bush never game me thoughts of suicide. ~

Kurds - terrorists when they are in Turkey, people we need to save when they are in Iraq.

ISIS - Syrian freedom fighters we need to support by invading Syria, murderous extremists who need to be bombed.

Clearly politics govern our stance on who we shoot or shoot with.

On the ISIS point, could you imagine the insanity that would have occurred, if we really did march into Syria to aid the "revolution"?? It would have been Iraq, multiplied by 1 million.

No they weren't. Just like with the arming of Syrian rebels by Obama.... The U.S. had a regional ally with groups of Afghan freedom fighters....but as arms were sent to fight the Russians there were major concerns that these weapons could fall into the hands of the more fundamentalist groups. And of course some weapons found their way to the wrong people.

We still had moderate allies in Afghanistan when the U.S. Went after bin laden after 9/11. Northern alliance ring a bell?

Before 1948, we had not one single enemy in the entire Middle East.

Heh, everything, including ISIS, Syria's actual genocide, september 11, afghanistan, iraq, rising oil prices, rising milk prices, little babies crying - it is ALL Israel's fault.
Bring on the hate, SandEagle.

Please explain:
Second Battle of El Alamein
Operation Torch

Or do you have selective geographical failures as well as your biases and selecting reading/comprehensive issues.

If you are referring /insinuating that it is the fault of the Jews, why not blame the European colonial powers and the Arab nations that were carved out of the Ottoman empire. They are as much responsible.

Also, brush up on your history.
The US did not start supporting Israel until after the '67 Seven day war.
Soviets were there also

To be fair, north Africa is not generally considered part of the middle east, although it looks there's some disagreement regarding Egypt. But Iran is universally considered middle eastern, and has had a long history of enmity with Arabia:

And there are many other conflicts before 1948:

And there were a ton of conflicts after 1948 that can hardly be related to the presence of Israel.

Yeah he was once our ally. I'm just glad I've lived long enough to see the U.S. embarrassed by having kill a leader associated with Arabs that Americans used to supply with arms like Stinger missiles.

If you'll research it a bit it seems we never supplied OBL with anything. So, to answer the OP's question - No, he was never our good friend.
