As a Canadian, I'm watching because I want illegal firearms from the States presently in the hands of criminals out of our cities that does not reflect upon Northerners whom depend on legally owned firearms - Long Rifle or Pistols.

Smallest rifle perhaps a lever action 30:30 (Too expensive, yet the best bush gun I've ever carried) or SKS (Brick of a Semi-Auto Rifle yet much cheaper then a 30:30 Browning Whichester) accompanied with a Torkarev M57 for the bush and any 22lr rifle or pistol for survival.

My favorite bush firearms was a 1920's Herstal Belgium FN Browning 16 Gauge Acier Special A5 and a P35 Browning FN 9mm Pistol. A Lee Infield 303 Jungle carbine was hidden around the tent.

Typical Northern Canadian.

I personally have no need nor want an AR15 or a 9mm SBR.

"Who is we? Didn't see anywhere where it said who's organizing this. "

I never mentioned "WE" - It's the People fight for Rights. The American NRA & GOA Associations and Gun Lobbyists (Firearm Industry with loads of money and political Influence ) have interest ?

Long barrels are rather cumbersome carrying in the North Bush. It's easier to carry a potent pistol - Besides Wildlife get very unpredictable when they see a monkey carrying a stick.

For me is ridding illegal American hand guns from the hands of criminals in Canadian cities without affecting law abiding Northerners that depend on guns for survival. SAD thing is that there is very little wild life left and they are on the run and dangerous. As a teenager, I was a hunter but now I could not kill bird without remorse but I need my Pistol in the bush so as not to smell of fear when I encounter Wild Life - Once Wild Life senses fear they attack.

The guy in the video - Hum! Apparently you don't know anything about firearms - Hickok45 is a Global American Gun Nut and highly respected world wide - Suggest you look at some of his YouTube Videos and views he has about firearms.

As a Canadian I don not necessarily agree with some of his views but over all I do. I do not have the taste for American Shark Frenzied Feeding that's poisoning your youth in regard to Guns and unfortunately it's rubbing off into Canada.

I highly just viewing Forgotten Weapons Channel hosted by Ian McCallum on YouTube.

I have never had to use my bush pistol in spit of being a few feet from a Bear, Moose, Wolves, Wolverine or Cougars... etc. Canadian Beavers are very dangerous - Warning! Stay clear, just one launch from that Aquatic Rodent can shear your leg off above the ankle.

Men with Brooms (2002) - The Beaver scene:

I fell in love with Molly Parker in this Flic ; But, I'm serious about staying away from adult Canadian Beavers ;o)

Gun Control:

All I ask is keep your Americans guns outta Canada - Considering we designed your beloved M1 Garand.

Love the garand. My dad's trusted firearm in WWII fighting in Europe. He scored a P08 while taking a German Capt. prisoner out of a bunker in France. I inherited that war trophy and consider it a family heirloom. I had use of the next gen version M14 (M21) sniper config in 'Nam. I got to use one of the early Stoners and really liked it too.

I thought this had to be a joke video but seems to be real?

I don't think he quite understand how airfare works. A years notice might not make a difference but a few weeks would for sure have an impact on the cost to fly.

Please fellow gun nuts, head to the airport tomorrow and ask for the a flight to D.C. later that day. Wait to book your hotel when you are there so you can negotiate the rate face to face.

My 4x4 truck is pretty big. It is a Mazda Miata and it can hold around 3 people.

Your SKS is functionally the exact same rifle as an AR-15. Both can accept a 30-round or higher capacity magazine. And the SKS is chambered in 7.62×39 which shoots a heavier bullet, so it has about 20% more muzzle energy. And your 30-30 lever action is more powerful than both.

Neither the AR-15 or the 9mm SBR are the gun of choice for most criminals, who use pistols in the vast majority of their crimes because they are easier to conceal. Pistols being smuggled across the border are what you should be worried about.

I'm not an AR-15 or 9mm SBR fan either (I lean towards cowboy single-action revolver, lever action rifles and black power firearms) but I recognize those particular firearms are just the scapegoat for misplaced anger.

While I agree with this in theory, I also believe there needs to be some standard set for gun ownership because not everyone is capable of owning one safely. And I believe the current restrictions would do the job pretty well if the state and federal governments cooperate and upkeep the criminal database as they should. We could do a little better on background check, and we need every American to understand their duty to report folks with guns who exhibit unsafe behavior. Gun owners need to do everything they can to police their own ranks if we don't want to see more bans and restrictions.

That said, proposing that we strip the 99.9+% of gun owners who are law-abiding of their rights to use currently legal guns for self-defense and other legal purposes, all in the vain hope that we will disarm those bent on crime and murder by osmosis, is foolish thinking at best. To date, I've never heard a single plan for disarming those who would murder without sacrificing the current level of 2A rights that around 100 million Americans enjoy safely. Even if a complete ban passed tomorrow it would only disarm the law-abiding.

Apologies for the rant.

part of it is that some use AR/AK type rifles for mass shootings which have a higher profile than, say, someone who robs a convenient store with a pistol.

and that's what a mass shooter wants is a high profile and notoriety for the shooting.

you don't hear about mass shootings where a lever action rifle is the gun of choice.

Agreed, but gun violence with a pistol happens many, many times every single day. Long guns of any kind, let alone the AR-15 specifically, account for a very tiny fractions of the gun deaths each year. Fixating on it's ban as the solution to end gun violence is illogical. And wanting to take a legal gun away from legal owners using it for overwhelmingly legal purposes, in the blind hope that it somehow stops those who would murder seems equally illogical.

And, as a gun owner, I also recognize that if we agreed to support an AR-15 or semi-auto ban that about 90 seconds after it was voted into law the drafting of even more gun bans and restrictions would begin. So why would I agree to any new gun restrictions if I don't think they stand a chance of reducing gun violence.

I do kind of like the idea of red flag laws, as long as there are very stringent safeguards for due process included, but even those are ripe for the violation of constitutional rights on basically hearsay.

In other words, it's hard to have a completely safe society and maintain any real level of freedom for the citizens.

Again, sorry for the rant.

Well lets see what happens over this Washington, D.C. Second Amendment Rally - TOMORROW. I say, as a Canadian, I want to stop the illegal 9mm pistols from the United States entering Canada and corrupting our youth whom live in our cities - Northern's know better.
