I moved and installed a washing machine for a friend. She moved from an apartment to a house she purchased. The washing machine is moving (walking around) on the spin cycle.

The apartment had a vinyl in the laundry area and the new place has ceramic tile. The machine worked fine at the apartment and the load is not out of balance. I checked the machine to see if it is level and it checks out. The ceramic tile floor is not level, but the machine is.

Is there some kind of sturdy rubber padding I could put underneath the machine to dampen/reduce/absorb the motion?

Does it do anything if you put it to the spin cycle while empty? ANd does it knock real loud as it spins? That's usually why it moves.

Otherwise just get some stuff you'd put down in the garage or something.

Yep, I was going to say the samething. Usually, the two front legs can be adjusted by just screwing up/down. The back one's usually are level to one another, you just need to lift the back end and they'll pop out to the same level.

I adjusted the front legs. So your saying if I gently pick up the back of the machine the back legs will self adjust, using a level on the machine.

My wife just sits on the machine during the spin cycle to keep it from moving, and over the years I have never run out of clean clothes. She seems to actually enjoy doing the laundry, and almost every day is wash day, go figure.
