Does 0.7 cu ft make a huge difference. I want to buy a whirlpool washer but the 3.2 cu ft one is $100 more, but it has a bleach dispenser and softener dispenser while the 2.5 cu ft one doesn't have the automatic dispensers. What are your thoughts?

bigger is better.

my parents have a pretty large washer.. i like it.. their earlier washer was so much smaller.. this one can hold 2 weeks worth of whites .. or one week worth of combined in a load no problems.

get the 3.2. It will give your clothes more room to agitate. Your clothes will be cleaner and have less wrinkles. You will also save that $100 in the first year because you are doing less loads.

That's it from your friendly neighborhood appliances salesman!

I would get the bigger one. What are the actual prices? If you're talking about a $400 washer, then yeah $100 seems like a lot. But it'll save you a ton of time over the life of the washer.

Well, Costco is having a ridiculously awesome sale on them...

It ends on June 30th but the prices are below.

3.2 cu ft washer - $349.99 and $120 MIR
2.5 cu ft washer - $249.99 and $100 MIR

5.9 cu ft dryer - $229.99 and $90 MIR
7.0 cu ft dryer - $349.99 and $100 MIR

Both dryers are electric.

I don't think there is a huge difference going with the smaller dryer compared to the bigger one. I don't know if i want to spend $80 bucks more for a bigger washer especially if it's only 0.7 cu ft bigger.

I know it's only $80 bucks but i close on my home at 2 pm tomorrow and have to buy these appliances by the end of the day.

Are you really a salesman? Does 0.7 cu ft make a big enough difference?

get the bigger ones. You will not be sorry. I currently have the smaller sizes you mentioned and if I do a decent sized load all my clothes are wrinkled. Not to mention my queen size comforter comes out only half washed.

Bigger washer. Pour the bleach yourself, use dryer sheets; those dispensers aren't worth it compared to more capacity.

Go bigger on both. I had a small washer and dryer and I had to do 2 loads a lot of times that the larger set I have now will do in 1 load. So much easier and better. Trust me, pay a little now, get a lot later.

The bigger one is the one with the dispensers. Double-whammy, get the bigger one.

Oh right! I misread that - thought it was the other way around.
Definitely get the bigger one.
PS - make sure it will fit where you intend to put it :D

I think you mean dryer, at least I hope you do.

Also go large.

Yes i mean the dryers. Why would you need the bigger dryers? What benefit other than more room for clothes.

Unless the industry standard is only 1 or something, then I understand.
10 Year Warranty VS Five Year Warranty

My last washer & Drier pair lasted 20 years, with one motor, and one switch replacement between the two. They were mid level Whirlpool/Kenmore units. Buying cheap junk is a waste of money. You're much farther ahead in the long run, to buy true, good quality appliances (or anything for that matter). You could pay a lot for a a gimmicky, name brand, and still have a troublesome piece of junk. Higher cost doesn't always equal higher quality.

Bigger is better. With 28% more capacity per load, laundry day will go faster. Consider how many years a washer can last, and how many extra loads you'll do over time with a smaller washer.
