Heh, interestingly enough, I "ran into" an active Marine yesterday in World of Warcraft. The guy treated me like complete shit with a nice superiority complex over "civvies". He was also racist and said I must be a ***** because I was farming... yet so was he . Then I went on about him lacking respect and he went on about discipline being shitting your pants in enemy territory.... Needless to say it was an interesting conversation that started over him trying to herbalize a mob I killed (and I was also trying to herbalize my own kill).

EDIT: Seems the filter works on that racist word... he used the common racial slur for Vietnamese.

EDIT 2: The conversation was actually kind of amusing. It seems that some Marines stereotype Americans as hating them. Personally, the "in your face" type tends to annoy me, so that didn't help much.

In response to the heart beating faster thing, not usually, no. I do this while I'm working on projects at work, so once I'm done at 4pm, I'm gone. I'm sure I get into it with some people, but so are you, right now.

Also, I never said I hated you. I am not attacking the marines, I'm attacking assholes, and that includes asshole marines.

You need to take things I say more literally, my first post in this thread was completely plain and simple, I meant no disrespect to the marines who actually do something useful, and aren't jerks about it.

There was no foaming at the mouth on my part, this time around.

This isn't directed towards anyone in particular but I really don't care for people who feel just because they served in any branch of the armed forces that they're somehow the perfect leader and that they suddenly know what's best in all things they touch.

Wonderful. You were in the military. Thank you for sacrificing your time and hard work for this country. That does not, however, entitle you to be a prick, look down on others, or grant you some sort of all knowing superpowers nor does it elevate your opinion above that of others.
