I am fairly new to the computer world, what book could you reccomend that just breaks down computers and their components to the most basic level, like if you had to explain, ok this is what the microprocesor does and this is what this does, thanks for your help.

A book you might want to check out is "How Computers Work" by Ron White. You can find it for less than $20 and it is a great entry level look at computers.

No real need for a book. There are MANY tutorials on computers for newbies, including MechWagon's begniers guide to building computers. Don't forget to buy pizza, first.

Building computers is fun. I can recommend it to anyone. The learning slope is steep, but it's worth it.

You can also try looking at the books on the shelf in the library. This is actually my favority activity, after working with my computer of course. Additionally there is your local community college that should have basic level books at the 101 level.
