What? When did he take on any vong and with whom? I don't remember any of that in the NJO books, even in the ebooks I don't remember that. You sure your not thinking of Baron Fel?

And yes, Boba Fett's mistakes were quite funny in ROTJ. What I find REALLY annoying is how they changed his back store for EP 2. I thought he came from some guy nammed Jasper Merell (sp?) who was a guardian protector dude on some planet... not a frigeen clone!

Did the op call him "java" instead of Jabba?

Who cares what is in the 'books' - Lucas didn't author those, so how are they part of the real SW story?

Because Lucas had no real idea on what the first 3 were really going to be about. So instead of using the 40+ books and comics he decided to just wing it and created the first 3. Obviously that were a big mistake. The books span over 40 years and are way better than anything Lucas has ever come up with.

Edit:

Also Leigh Brackett was the key for Empire Strikes Back. Too bad she died before ROTJ was made.

Are you talking about E2? Boba Fett never had a clone, I don't think. There's another bounty hunter with Mandalorian Armor named Jodo Kast though.

Thats not what I was referring to, according to the movies, "Bobba Fett" was a clone and "Jango Fett" was the father, a non-clone. That would mean that the Bobba Fett in ROTJ was a clone when according to the 'REAL' stories, he came from a dude I mentioned above.

The Unifying Force

The list of cameo appearances and quickie answers to ?whatever happened to? questions is endless, and it seems that Luceno has done his noble best to make sure that the reader is aware of the final status of virtually every one of the characters from the Star Wars saga. This is a tall task indeed, but the big question, finally answered, is: where has Boba Fett been since the beginning of the NJO series?

Fett?s last appearance in a Star Wars novel was... I can?t even remember. But keeping in mind that the NJO series takes place over a period of five years, and that it begins six years after the previous adult Star Wars novel - Vision of the Future - makes it at least eleven years since Boba Fett made an appearance in an adult novel taking place in the Galaxy Far Far Away. In The Unifying Force, Boba pops into a battle long enough to actually save Han Solo, and then runs off. There are two noteworthy points to make here. First, Fett quips to Han that his relentless pursuit of Solo in past years was (to paraphrase) ?nothing personal... strictly business?, and that his real personal vendetta was always against the Jedi (makes sense, since a Jedi, Mace Windu, killed Boba?s father Jango). Second, Fett is seen with a team of commandos clad in armor similar to his, which implies that he?s been spending the past eleven-plus years reestablishing the Mandalorian sect that spawned his father. This all-to-brief glimpse at Boba Fett?s current whereabouts provides more character development than Boba Fett has had, in total, since climbing out of the Sarlaac pit.

Link

If you want more proof i can get the exat page this is on in The Unifying Force. I can even get the bounty hunter books where he is found by another bounty hunter and nursed back to health.
heck he saves the Kaut Drive Yard when the owner set the demo charges to blow the yard, (The charges where setup in a link and he flew a Star Destroyer by himself that was being built and had one of the main charges on it) There by saving over %80 of the yard.

Both are true statements. I don't acknowledge the books, but I acknowledge that Lucas is a no talent ass clown.

i think it's funny that in Ep1, sand people could snipe a podracer from a cliff but in Ep4, it wasn't plausible for them to hit the broadside of a sand crawler :D
