Hi,
I had a Sapphire x1950pro Ultimate Silent and wanted to trade it for a superior performance card. I was about to buy a 8800GTS 320mb for around 270$ when I found a 7950 GX2 for just 150$.
It felt it was a deal too good to let it pass, so I bought it. Besides the obvious lack of DX10 support (wich I honestly don't care), have I really made a good deal? In terms of pure performance, is it a match for the 8800GTS 320? (please bear in mind that it costed me 120$ less than a 8800GTS 320). It would be nice to get some oppinions.
PS - Does anyone know if this particular card, the XFX 7950 GX2 is noticiably noisier than my old near-silent x1950pro Ultimate? My PC is almost silent and I fear that this new card could ruin my near-silent-PC project.
