Was there garbage pickup today?

So i gotta put out garbage 7:15 on the morning they pick up, and today was no different. I dragged the garbage up to the street with the atv, then watched some tv. 1pm and the garbage was still full. I called the company, but got their voicemail.
at 2pm i brought it down to the house, and put it in the garage. that really pisses me off i had to put the garbage in the garage, but i have nothing else i can do.
So did anyone get their garbage picked up today?
 
Yes. They picked up yesterday's customer's trash and some of todays. They will get to yours tomorrow or Monday.

They are always a day late after a holiday it seems.

I dunno, do they run the trucks on saturdays in your area? Anyone you know have Sat pickup?

If not, it may be Monday.
 
Do you get a calendar from the town? If you do, it will have the dates when garbage collection does not follow it's normal routine.
 
the calendar shows no pickup on thursday, so i imagine they picked up yesterdays garbage today, so my garbage has gotta wait. oh well.

It varies from location to location. Seems from your posts that it wasn't in your area. Me neither.
 
My town didn't have pickup yesterday or today. Which is alright with me, since they come twice a week. They'll be coming through again on Tuesday.
 
Why didn't you just leave it out by the road? That way you won't miss it if they come on Saturday or Monday.
 
Nobody has this figured out by now?
Most holidays garbage is not picked up. So, what most cities do is the following day, pick up the previous day's garbage, and they keep doing that until they get to Saturday and pick up what is normally Friday's garbage that day.
Then the next week the schedule is normal and back to no Saturdays.
 
man it's the little things.... I can't imagine driving my garbage can out and back with an ATV... I run out in my jammies/sandals, back in 30 secs.

wildlife. since we have cougars and bears i can't leave it out, or it gets spread out across the land. thats why we have to take it out "the" morning.

i'll call them tomorrow and hopefully they'll have pickup. otherwise its next friday.

Yep. My normal trash day is Friday. B/c of Thanksgiving, it's today.

Not where I live. We have garabe service on holidays as well.
 
Nope...no garbage pick up on Thursday for me either...but then again, they pick up here on Wednesday...😀

Modesto lost one of our garbage companies last year. (or was it year before last?)
The old company picked up garbage on holidays, but the new one doesn't.
