I don't like recommending Netburst to anyone, but i can't say anything against a dual core Pentium-D @ 3.4 GHz for $356 USD when teh X2 equivalent is close to $100 more...

Those are substantial price drops, and put the D950 at about the same price as a much slower X23800+.
