I got my mom to let me use her credit card to buy a few books that were out of print:
- 3 of the books from the end of the Wildcards series, out of print about 10 years
- The Origin of the Hobgoblin (comic trade), 12 years out of print
- Some old SF mags with the few George R.R. Martin stories I hadn't read (16 years old)
- Emperor Doom (comic trade)
- Miracleman #16 - the only issue of Miracleman I didn't own, out of print about 12 years
Ipod Nano - I don't listen to music, I don't like putting earbuds in my ears (extremely sound sensitive), and I'm afraid I might break. Literally EVERYONE in my family got one. Before anyone asks, NO, YOU CAN'T HAVE IT. Maybe I'll see if I can get a kit to use in the car, if I can turn the volume down enough; the car stereo is too loud at the lowest setting. I haven't listened to music in the car for about 1.5 years.

Various regular stuff, but on top of that my grandparents are cleaning out their house to move to a retirement area and I got a 1909 5 dollar gold coin from my grandfather that he got from his grandfather, and also a Katana from a ww2 Japanese officer that was taken from the disarming of mainland Japan near the end of the war. Still really sharp and shiny! (possibly getting a second one taken from a dead officer on Iwo Jima)
