Was just watching Roger and Me and didnt realize

shortylickens

No Lifer
I had seen it before. In the 6th grade (1990).
They showed it to us in class and I forgot about it.

Also didnt notice before how completely full of crap Micheal Moore is.

Did anyone else see it in elementary or junior high when it was first on home video?

I saw it when it first aired on HBO all those years ago. I realized after viewing how completely full of shit Michael Moore is and have never watched anything from the fat bastard since.

In your search for enlightenment, you may someday realize that you might be every bit as full of crap as Moore, maybe more...

Moore is an entertainer who tries to get people to think. A fair % of the population is incapable of that, and they deeply resent the fact that Moore tried to get 'em to do it...

It hurts to think when most of what you believe in is lies. Better to just bathe in the mind numbing couch potato marinade of Fox News...

Moore is an opportunist and knows how to make money off of his far left audience. Fortunately for the rest of the free world we are aware of it. Anyone who takes him seriously needs their head examined.

Nah, MM really is entirely full of shit. When you make up lies out of whole cloth and cut & paste interviews to make the subject say exactly the opposite of what the person actually said... nope sorry. I mean for fucks sake, he actually tried to claim that Cuba's health care system is better than ours with a straight face. He's basically the bagdad bob of socialism.

MM is the greatest propagandist since Lena Riefenstahl...

Have to love posts so ignorant they don't even try to back up what they assert. "Ann Coulter is the biggest meth head since Gary Busey!" Hey, it's fun.

Meanwhile, will see see Redchief post here attacking REAL propagandists, like, say, Andrew Breitbart - not likely IMO. I won't even bother to search to see.

No, he's a maker of dishonest documentaries.

He's also the guy who favored taking the money from the "rich" to pay off the national debt. He happened not to realize that taking 100% of the assets from the top 400 billionaires in the country wouldn't quiet pay off this year's deficit, let alone even scratch the national debt.

He's a moron.

Do you deny that MM is a propagandist??
Film critic Pauline Kael criticized the film, claiming it exaggerated the social impact of GM's closing of the plant and depicted the actual events of Flint's troubles out of chronological order. Kael called the film "shallow and facetious, a piece of gonzo demagoguery that made me feel cheap for laughing". One such criticism is that the eviction at the end of the film occurred on a different day from Smith's speech, but the two events were intercut for emotional effect.[6] Moore addresses this criticism in the DVD commentary, stating that "there are no dates in the film; we'll be going back and forth throughout the decade of the '80s."
So instead of giving a straight story Moore rearranges events on screen to match the story he is trying to tell, sounds like propaganda to me.

Propaganda:
1. The systematic propagation of a doctrine or cause or of information reflecting the views and interests of those advocating such a doctrine or cause.

Hey Craig, check this out from Variety of all places:
http://www.variety.com/review/VE1117933050?refcatid=1263

Interviewees offer various and sundry anecdotes meant to illustrate Moore’s worst sins of commission and omission: his penchant for embellishing (or manufacturing) autobiographical details; his willingness to underscore points through misleading cross-cutting and dubious alterations of chronology; his eagerness to enjoy the sort of lifestyle savored by the very corporate bigwigs he chronically skewers.
I love the bolded part, typical limousine liberal fighting for the little guy while enjoying the good life.

Since 1990 it has been proven beyond doubt that Moore plays loose with the truth.

What the WaPo said "may" about then is factual today.
