Alright, i'm really confused here. This girl just started working at our store, and her first day was last Sunday. My shift is right after hers so i met her when i came in. Introduced myself, blah, blah, both smiling, eveyrything looks good. Then she asks me a question about the cash register and i tell her that i'm not really sure i know the answer, and suggest that she might want to give the manager a call. Asked if she needs the number, said she knows it. So she calls, talks to him, and gets her answer. While she was on the phone, i changed and got to work. She got off the phone, changed in the back, said it was nice to meet me, smiled, and left. So i come in to work the next day and the first question the manager asks me is why i have a problem with the new girl. That's where all the confusion started. She told him that i was moody and unfriendly, and was rude when she asked me about the register. Whoa. Quote "I'm not really sure, why don't you try calling the manager? Do you need the number?" Is that rude? And the way i said it... there wasn't really anything rude about that. So now you see why i'm confused. To make matters worse she told the same thing to another guy who works there. What's her problem? I'm probably going to see her again on Sunday, so how should i act? Should i go straight to the point and ask what the hell her problem is? Or maybe calmly ask her why she is upset? Or just not mention it? One thing to keep in mind though - i was an hour late to work on Sunday, meaning that she had to wait for me. No fault of mine though. I just took this shift from another guy who told me to come in at 6, and it turned out that the Sunday shift starts at 5. I'm not sure she knew that, but i assume the manager told her what happened. Maybe she's just trying to pay me back or something?
