So i'm sitting on the bleachers at the BMX park waiting for one of my buddies to finish his run before we head out, and a bunch of emo kids and goths come and walk up to me and say "dude, this is where we smoke, fsck off"
this has allready been a rough day for me, and bmxing was supposed to be a way for me to cool down.
now, i'm both grosed out by the fact that the smoke, and the fact that half of them are wearing what can only be described as over the top for marilyn manson. "look, i'm meeting a friend here in a bit. theres plenty of places to smoke. Besides, why the hell should I sit here and be ordered around by a bunch of people who think they're so much more important than everybody?
"so what?" says one of them "you assume we think we're better than everybody because of the way we dress, or the things we do? I'm sure half of this is beyond you, but maybe we should attempt to continue this on an intellectual basis? You clearly don't like me, but you don't even know who I am. I know there are alot of hurtful stereotypes out there, and I bet you don't even really understand what the goth movement is about. You probably read about us on some mis-informed internet website or heard about us from somone who allready hated out subculture. You only hate us because you are don't understand us!"
then one of the emos chimes in with his insight
"Every person is different. Most emos don't cut, and being a goth has nothing to do with what you wear! I mean, I used to [cut], but you can't judge us all by that! If you only understood me, you would be able to appreciate the emo movement! You can't judge an individual by a few 'bad' members of the group! You have to take each of us as a special and unique individual!"
seriously, these kids are pushing it.
"I understand you plenty. I did't learn about you off the internet. I also know with full confidence that your claims of 'most emos don't cut' and 'being a got isn't about what you wear' is a steaming load. I also know enough to see the hipocrisy you can't. Throwing stereotypes at everyone who hates you. 'You must have seen that website!' Give me a fscking break. Your whiney, self-pitying claims supply 100% the daily recomended allowance of horse sh!t. I have every right to judge you by the group that you belong to, because you actively choose to belong to it. It's not a higher force like religion and it's not genetic like race. So stop trying to compare your teenage mockery groups to people who have had to face actual prosecution and opression, because you don't fit that fscking bill! And I have plenty of reasons to fit those judgements that of your distinct person. I CAN use your affiliation as a sign of your stupidity. The most obvious reason is the most prominent. If you WEREN'T stupid you wouldn't be a fscking emo! But through all that, I will give you your request. because I don't have to judge you by your group. Not one bit. If you had broken out of your whiney shell for one second you would have learned something. You would have learned that the things I hate about you aren't the clothes, there are things out there that disgust me more, bioth morally and physically. Neither is the whole 'wrist cutting' thing that you take great pride in mentioning that is a rare occurance and gets you bad press coverage. If that was the dumbest thing i'd seen people to i'd be LUCKY. No, the thing I hate about your 'subculture' is people just like you. Self-aggranising morons who thing that they are the people who make their sh!t look good. Idiot goths claiming "you don't understand us", thinking no-one could POSSIBLY understand you AND dislike you. IMPOSSIBLE. So right now I AM judging you on an individual basis, and you just gave me more reason than i'd ever need to hate you. You get it yet? I hate YOU. Your quasi-intellectual bullsh!t and your nauseateingly assanine persecution complex is worse to me than any spiked collar. You still want to keep this on an intellectual level?"
"go to hell"
"good than get the hell out of my face."
and then the guy sitting behind me goes "jesus kid, calm the fsck down!"
and me and my buddy left.
