Was hot, now DEAD!!!!

well the newegg price is kind of ridiculous honestly. why would nayone buy it for that when an e5200 cost $2 more.

Hrmm, I want to pair this with a Gigabyte GA-965P DS3 rev. 1.

Yay or nay? Seems like a cheap enough chip.

Edit: eh, wish they had in-store pickup

Its a decent chip. I remember reading reviews that it went toe to toe with the athlon x2 4600+. Overclocking makes this chip shine.

Yes! I have a 2180 running on mine at 3ghz no problem. 🙂

Not quite as good a deal as it seems.
Newegg has it for 67.99 with free shipping but Newegg has the retail version with hsf.
Microcenter has it for 39.99 plus 5.99 standard shipping without the hsf.
If you planned on going aftermarket hsf, then its a very good deal.
Otherwise its not so great.

Yes actually, this one. It can still be found around for $55 or so, at MC for that matter.....

There are actually a couple of nice cheap recommendations in that thread, including this one: Asus P5KPL-CM
