Was FDR stupid or was he just out to destroy the world?

Why did he support Stalin and Churchill over non-interventionism? Why did he even want to "stop Hitler" when Hitler was not only no threat to America (or Europe) but also that taking the side of Stalin and Churchill costed American lives?

Hitler was immensely popular in Europe which begs the question... Can't we conclude that WWII was the worst and most unnecessary war ever? What was the point of WWII if Hitler was no threat to Europe or to America? It lead to the cold war which lead to a portion of the debt we have today and it made the U.S. the sole Superpower, all of which will eventually crash. It perpetuated statism and evil. If FDR hadn't defeated the Old Right, we'd might be living in a stateless society today. Coolidge was a much less evil President since he didn't use his own people as bait to go to aid the most bloody person of the 20th Century. The non-interventionist Coolidge maximized peace, prosperity, and liberty and due to FDR the former was the last classical liberal this country will ever be governed by.

I can't believe that FDR is ranked as one of the "Greatest U.S. Presidents" when he was even more statist than Hitler. FDR was the bloodiest U.S. President ever. I guess most people just don't seek the truth or they like the Death, carnage, mayhem, and destruction caused by the State.

That was due to FDR's provocations. We should have just accepted Pearl Harbor as an acceptable loss, and hundreds of thousands of Americans would still be alive.

I appreciate that response because im stupid too so im not alone but imo after two years of slaughter of innocent ppl it was time for USA to stop it. I may be wrong though but it feels right cos like if i was being slaughtered i'd like some help

FDR declared war on Japan so Germany would declare war on the U.S. The Axis powers had a treaty stating that if one of them was attacked, then they'd all declare war on the attacker.

(1) Japan declared war on the US first

(2) Even if they hadn't Pearl Harbor was a defacto declaration of war.

Hitler lied well enough to initially become popular in some German speaking countries. To call that "popular in Europe" is stupid. I'm sure the French built The Maginot Line as a tribute to the popular guy.

You need to get a better grip on history.

i wish we could just transport to any planet at any time instantly. that way, everyone could be anywhere they wanted, and if you dont like where youre at, find a place you like. theres probably enough earth-like planets out there for each person themselves.

Hitler spelled out his plans in "Mien Kampf" in the early thirties. Anyone paying attention could see the danger.
The scariest scenerio is Hitler being smart enough to follow his own timeline of World Conquest to begin in 1945 or 1946, with the advantage of developement of his war weapons.
US rearmament began as production for Europe. And Soviet/German relations were "cooperative" until Hitler attacked Russia.
With a slave powered armaments industry, a strong Navy, Jet aircraft, and Strategic bombers, possibly the atomic bomb...

The scariest prospect is that the Germans were quite capable of conquering the Soviets. German army wanted to push on Moscow, but Hitler decided the oil in the Caucauses was more important. So the force that went to Stalingrad was actually severely undermanned relative to the original plans.

Had Hitler left it to the generals, there might have much stronger western front for the allies to deal with, and that would have gotten interesting.
