was Fast Five the worst cast ever assembled?

wow, the acting was horrible.
paul walker, the rock, tyrese? they seem to be getting worse with time.

at least the movie itself was semi enjoyable.

Fast Five was by far the best of series. It was top notch from the storyline, acting, and the driving scenes.

With a few exceptions, the cast were mostly returning characters so it's not like there was a lot of wiggle room unless you wanted to change the story which was pretty good compared to the other 4 or recast the characters with new actors which is usually taboo.

sadly, this is the most entertaining movie i watched all freaking year. as for the casting goes its all the characters from the older movies. the girls are hot, the explosions are... explosive, what else do you want in a brainless movie?

Compare this to crap that came out this year like bridesmaids, this deserves an oscar!

and come on how can u hate on lines like "We hungry!" and "I'll ride with you toretto"

Isn't this sequel number 5 or something to that horrible movie "Fast and the Furious"? If you were expecting these films to improve in quality simply based on the idea "How could they get any worse?" I think you may not understand how Hollywood works. I don't know much about this movie but I'd honestly be surprised to hear it wasn't a straight to video release.

Tej: Aw, hell no. They really went and scraped the bottom of the barrel here, didn't they?
Roman Pearce: Guess they did, considering your ass is here. When are you gonna give Martin Luther King his car back?
Tej: As soon as you give Rick James his jacket back.

well I liked it.. I bought in on BluRay myself..

#1, Tokyo Drift Fast and Furious and this one are by far the best.. #2 was horrible all the way around..

I quite enjoyed it, though I knew full well what I'd be seeing: a shitty action movie. I actually think the Rock is quite good as an action-movie actor, though Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are definitely horrible actors. I highly recommend the Adam Carolla/Bill Simmons dissection of Fast Five at http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=6443190 - it's more fun than the movie in my view.

I thought it was entertaining that they finally put Vin Diesel and The Rock into a movie together and made them fight. Seemed about right.

That said I generally dislike these racing movies and actually liked it enough. Good dumb fun which you'd expect in an action movie. Didn't watch the 3rd or 4th because I didn't like the 2nd and don't like the asian style drifter racing crap.

I haven't seen it (nor do I plan to) but I feel confident in saying if John Cena wasn't in it, then it can't possibly have been the worst cast ever.

There's a some clips of them actually towing the safe around.

yeah, someone explain the physics behind pulling a safe that probably weighs 25x more than both the "muscle cars" combined out of a concrete wall.
then dragging it for miles on public roads, slamming into buildings and other obstacles as if it were a rag doll.

i mean, c'mon... at least make it a little believable.

my favorite part is towards the end, when he hits the nitrous and the tires suddenly overcome physics and gain more traction. 😀
