Try that freezing stuff that you can get at pretty much any drug store...

or Compound-W (Spelling ???)

Freezing and over the counter stuff never worked for me. I had my doctor burn them off. The most painful part is the shot to dull the pain. In a few days they fall off.

Oh ho? Burn it off? All they (health center)'d do is freeze them, and it seldom works, I hear . . ..

you can buy the stuff over the counter and then place tape over it. the tape will not let the wart get oxygen so it will die off quicker. 70% effective

if you go to the doctor he/she will freeze it off and it doesn't hurt at all. it is about 90% effective.

edit: percentage fixed.

Salicylic acid is a very common and effective over-the-counter treatment, but requires consistent application every day. They best way to use salicylic acid is to first pare the wart with a blade, pumice stone, emory board, or small scrub brush. Soaking the wart in warm water will aid in the absorption of the medicine. Salicylic acid is applied to the wart and allowed to dry. Normal surrounding skin may be protected with petroleum jelly. Occluding the treated wart with a band-aid or piece of tape also improves the absorption of the medicine. This procedure should be repeated daily ideally around shower or bath time. Salicylic acid can be found in several forms including a thick oil, or incorporated into an adhesive plaster form.

get it from wal-mart in a adhesive plaster form, you cut off a small square and stick it onto the top of the wart and put tape or a band aid over it. do this for a week or two and it will go away

i tried the home freezing stuff made by dr. sholls on the small wart on my pinky. i have already done 3 freezes and it hasnt done a damn thing...waste of 25 bucks for me so far...hope it works for you if you try though. i have also tried the adhesive ones that have special stuff on them to get rid of warts and they didnt work on mine either. one of these days i will get around to asking my doctor about it...

the reason the duct tape works is because the adhesive is slightly acidic, so it eventually eats it away

i have also tried duct tape, you have to be very prudent about using it, meaning you have to wear it 24/7 and put a clean patch on after showering. mine kept falling off, but it did seem to be working, turned my wart white but never fell off...i should probably try it again...

Note to self: Don't apply duct tape to the ol' Johnson. :Q :Q

Admit it....that wart is not on your hand.

That would imply that I had gotten some in recent months . . . :(
(Well, actually, I'm glad if that's the case, but regardless . . ..)

I use to have a wart on my leg, I've used Compound W and it works but doesn't get rid of it.

Eventually, I kept picking at it with something like this and it went away, for good. :) It didn't hurt at all and I didn't feel anything.

scratch the crap out of it, get a Papa Johns Pepperoncini and squeeze the juices and seeds into the sucker. I bet it'll
be gone in no time.

if it bleeds won't the wart spread to other parts that the blood has touched? Or is the common hand wart not contagious?

I had one on my foot.

Two days with electrical tape over it (yes, electrical tape) then picking it off worked for me.

I used to have one on my thumb but I cut it out with a knife. It never did come back.
