To be honest, I don't think I know what Koing even looks like. I doubt he enters by the name "Koing", so I'd love a heads up. >_>

Koing is actually my name, but the pronunciation of my name will completely throw you off 😛

Koing, was that you doing etrading support? What weight are you currently? You look slightly heavier than your pictures from your weight loss without cardio thread.

That obstacle on which you fell seemed to have confounded many of the contestants. I don't know how one would be able to make that jump without timing it and swinging back before reaching the end of the track.

Yes that is me doing electronic trading support.

I'm 96kg but my weight goes up and down by about 1-1.5kg depending on how much I eat. Slightly heavier? LOL. I'm at least 12-14kg heavier. Training is better being heavier and there really is no need for me to be as lean all year around apart from vanity reasons. It was just an experiment to see how I lean I could get. I did learn a lot about nutrition though which was good.

I just didn't use the right strategy on the obstacle. I should have kept my body to the side so that would mean I could actually swing by the pole thing. But instead I held on face on instead 🙁. I was the 3rd person told run the course that day out of 50 so I didn't get a chance to see more people run it before me.

I'll apply next time and see how I get on.

Yeah, Koing you seemed a bit heavy. May want to lose a good deal of weight since strength isn't going to be your bottleneck.

It basically suits a rock limber/ 800M runner type of person. Even at 85kg I'd be too heavy or I'd have to have crazy grip strength still. I spent basically most of 2014 gaining weight from 84 to 97kg and strength. I'm still down about 8% on my front squat strength.

I'm going to try to work on grip strength and upper body holds and then see if I can get on during the next audition cycle. I'm currently 5'6" and 163lbs so I think I'll need to work quite a bit on the pullups and variations and maybe some climbing to help with the grip.

Do it!

Just work hard on the grip, pull up with towels, hanging on ledges, just lots of variations and STAMINA is key.

BUT anything on the course can throw you off. Lots of tricky balance type of things.
