ESPN article.

For us few Bengals fans out there, could there be better news? I hated Sapp in TB, but would absolutely become his biggest fan if he came to good ol' Cincy. :D :D :D :D :D

"League sources told ESPN.com that Sapp on Friday night moved very close to agreement with the Cincinnati Bengals on a four-year contract. Some issues remain to be resolved but, barring a setback in the negotiations, the sources said, a deal could be struck on Friday or Saturday."

EDIT: Looks as if Sapp decided on Oakland instead. ESPN article.

He has a presence on the field, but his numbers have slipped in the last couple years.

Would probably bring a couple more fans to Cincy though ;)

make that 6! I am from Dayton, and grew up watching the Bengals. They came to my elementary school back in the 80's.
They also have a record that will be hard to beat. They are the only team to lose more than 100 games in one decade!
:)

His numbers may have slipped, but they're still better than anyone the Bengals roster right now.

hey, but dont worry, we have a plan! instead of signing a good player we are going to reviel new uniforms on monday!

oh and if the bengals traded dillon for the raiders 3rd round draft pick, the raiders probably wouldnt have been able to afford sapp...now i doubt they can afford dillon

i think hes pretty old to sign a 7 yr deal.
guess the raiders dont.

More years on the contract means less money up front. Sapp won't be in Oakland for 7 years, nor will he see more than 4 years worth of contrat money.
