Warren Buffett calls for a minimum tax on the wealthy

No one here has yet to answer the contradictory position he holds that he should pay more taxes, but won't do it under his own accord(even though there are multiple ways of going about it). He wants others to pay more taxes along with him, but he avoids as much as he can now(why wouldn't he just avoid it later?). He wants more Government revenue because he thinks Government spending will fix things(at least this is what is coming across), yet he is going to leave his wealth to non-profit charities ran by his friends and family. Derp a der, anyone supporting Buffett in this is a fucking tool of the State.

All you Statists need to seriously sit down and think logically about all the shit you "believe" in. If you think you have the right to my earnings, the right to my labour, the right to MY LIFE, then the Golden Rule would state you want ME to have the right to YOUR earnings, the right to your labour, the right to YOUR LIFE. The bolded is a misrepresented version of what the left stands for/against. We stand against unfair/lopsided tax cuts for the rich. The original cuts overwhelmingly favored the rich, which is itself morally wrong. This isn't about revenge, it is about removing bad policy. Policy that has been a major contributor to the deficit.

This is a lie. The rich received a lower % of the Bush tax cuts is compared to how much they were paying.

Then you should also understand that the Republicans are holding the spending cuts YOU want hostage in order to keep the unfair tax cuts for their rich buddies and the Democrats are fighting to give you the spending cuts YOU want and take away the unfair tax cuts from the wealthy.

YOU are lying. The first round reduced tax rates in most brackets by 3% while reducing the top rate by 4.6%. Round two decreased the capital gains tax rates which overwhelmingly favors the rich. You are arguing with basic math.

It's mostly just me trying to help you refine your debating methods while simultaneously pointing out that the Dems are trying to give you what you want and the Reps are blocking them. If you still have lots of deductions you only pay taxes on what is left after the deductions. Many people would be in a higher tax bracket without the deductions.

Your earnings aren't made purely by you. Even if you start a business from scratch with no help from anyone and grow it into something you can live off of, you didn't do it yourself.

You didn't get shot because you had the protection of a military and police force paid for by others.

You put gas in your car because someone else had a business they built because of systems paid for by others.
