we ordered quite a lot of stuff from ubid. 2 AV receiver was DOA (one was 1700) and they took it back without hesitation, even paid for the return shipping (it was like 70 pounds :Q)

the only bad experience we had was a refurbished phone, the cosmetic condition wasn't very good but it works.

I don't think UBID scams, it's YOUR responsibility to check out the shipping charges BEFORE you bid and you take your risks by ordering from a 3rd party (which i never did). They didn't send me a DOA XP cpu. Most of you are just exaggerating. Customer service would be average IMO.

I don't think that pop up chat window is a real person as it claims to be. It popped up every time after I bid on an auction and the text was the same. I tried some XXX talk to "Britney" and her responses were robot-like. Dude, no other woman can resist my suave XXX chat! ;) I think it just looks for certain words or phrases to nab you onto the scam.

Anyway UBid sucks a$$. Get back at them, if you don't want to purchase a winning bid, cancel your credit card. They screwed me many many times.
