Piece of advice: don't buy a laptop with a desktop CPU. I had one and it kept on crashing due to overheating. It would be fine so long as the idle process was the primary time eater but would die when it got hot enough.

i had read the whole article, and supposedly he was wearing pants, here is a quote from it "Ostenson noted that the computer manual did warn against operating it directly on exposed skin but said the patient had lap burns even though he had been wearing trousers and underpants."
