Ok, I'm now using PeerBlock 1.0+ (r277). I think it's best if I get my downloads from their site. I could hunt the older version down somewhere else, but then you can't be certain of it's integrity. I forgot to mention that I have it setup to always allow http.

Well, maybe it wont matter. But I have been to the sites now for two days straight for over eight hours, and no virus attacks after I removed peerblock.

I varied back and forth between http block /allow. I was not uploading or downloading anything, and have no peer to peer program currently installed. I was just using it to cut down on some of the adds, since the flash progams now are so intensive, they slow down my P4 3.2 to a crawl.

What blocklists were you using? I'll set mine the same. I just have P2P, as I assume that's the typical setting for most.

*And if the mods want to move this thread, they can, but I was just trying to get the word out.

Ok, I have P2P, spyware, and advertising. The only other category offered is education; I left that one alone.
