Hi Jim
need we comment on petty things such as caps or non caps, bold or italics?
a viable complaint i indeed have and as such i have the right to be angry so do me a favor and stop the badgering.
if it doesn't help you, then please don't comment on it. this was written to gain the attention of all who were considering to purchase from the overclockerz store. should you choose not to heed my warning is ultimately your choice.

perhaps it's in our nature to circumspect things to find anything and everything that does not suit us in order to bring turmoil to the table.

ack, nm...no need to continue the argument for we know Jim will always have something to say given his vetted notions.

Actually once, I tried to go into business on the internet selling air. Mountain air imported from Colorado. Ocean air from Florida. I even stocked air from the great North.

Unfortunately, people kept complaining that their boxes were empty. What a mess.

look at it this way, you may have a hard time with thier after sale service, but you did get a product. What do you think of those places that take your money and run and send you nothing?

So why did you cancell?

Because they charged you straight away & were late with the deleivery?

Well you did receive the product in the end So they didn't "take your money & run"

Stop wingeing & be happy you got what you ordered, so what if they were a bit late.

One should not purchase products on the web, if they expect them straight away, as you'll be let down half the time.

Personally, I only get peeved if the deleivery takes more than 2 months. If I need the product within that 2 months I buy it from the local weekend computer fair, or the local computer warehouse (even walking past you wouldn't know the place existed, the bloke mainly sells wholesale to cheapskate system administrators, network installers & local system builders), rather than the web.

You should be happy that you don't have to worry about where your next meal comes from & that you have a roof over your head, let alone the fact you can afford a T'bird/Duron & Abit/Asus motherboard (unlike 99% of the worlds population). Besides you got the package in the end, afterall.

Anyway everyone knows the 'Overclockerz store' has a backlog a mile long, so anyone expecting a deleivery straight away from them is being unrealistic. Besides they even have a warning on their website stating that they have a huge back-log & advise anyone ordering from them not to expect the deleivery straight away.

okies...clarification.
i cancelled because their was no need for it anymore. i needed it for school but after realizing the heavier workload of this year...i found it to be a challenge to do anything leisurely, including building a computer. i cancelled because i didn't want it anymore. so as of now, they have charged my credit card for something that should have never been shipped.
once something is cancelled, it's final, unless otherwise stated so by the customer. so i want my money back, i want them to write to me, and i want you all to know not to buy from them so you don't have to go through this mess.
stop w/ the argumenting for those of you who always post the same things to people that get sour deals (e.g. at least you got what you ordered...), they're only trying to help you out.
sheesh...

i don't appreciate you speaking of something you know nothing about. for all you know, i could have been born in cuba in 1949, lived in a 1 room house w/ 4 siblings, my mother, my aunt, and my grandmother, faced the wrath of communism and Castro in the 70's, sailed to Honduras in 71 as cargo of a ship in compartments so small that small children had trouble fitting into, let alone a grown man, lived in honduras for 10 years working menial jobs and being paid less than a teenage American working at Subway, moved to the United States in 82, attended College while working 3 jobs to help off-set the charges of my mother's medical bill after having her first stroke and needing hospitalization, and started my own import/export company only 10 years ago. and am now returning to college in hopes of selling my company and working for a large corporation.

i am now 50 years old. i have worked everyday of my life since i was born because the bread and wine that i ate everynight for dinner until i was 16 was not readily available. please do not attempt to lecture me about what i do and do not have!

such ignorance infuriates me to the point of delirium.

btw, i like the increasingly exaggerated 99% statistic- adds humor.

abracadabra1,

Feel free to ignore that goofy crap from DaBrainDead. You must bear in mind that he lives in a socialist country. Worse yet, he thinks it's a good system.

Worse experiences:
Wholesale-club.com, bought two keyboards, both have water damage, they disappeared

HiTechCafe.com: First experience: bought a HD off of e*ay from them, after filling out more forms than it would've been just to buy is straight and waiting more than two weeks (they're based 80 miles from me) I get the drive. Second: bought a CDROM and noted the price wasn't as advertized, site was updated, two days later I get a call "we don't have it any more, but we have one without a face", declined, bought one from Bonkers325 instead, sent an email explaining why I wasn't happy. Reply basically stated "We are a bargain house, we don't need to keep our site updated, we get things sold as fast as possible. That's why customer service isn't required"

Best experience: Towerrecords.com, usually get the goods the next day or the 2nd day. accurate well updated site that says when things aren't in stock.

Demon-Xanth,

Thanks for reminding me about those wads at HighTechCafe. I forgot all about the motherboard I ordered from them a couple weeks ago. They had the AOpen Millenium listed at $59 so a bunch of us jumped on it. It was a listing mistake, of course.

Haven't heard a damn peep out of them since. I just checked, and the order is still in their system. I wonder how long it will sit there if I don't say anything?:)

Red,

Well, duh. I didn't think I'd get it, and actually, I'm not the least bit disappointed. I never am with these deals; it's the fun of taking the shot.:) If $59 was actually some real money, I might feel differently. I was just mentioning it because I actually did forget.

I eMailed what's here name a couple of times the next day, but it bounced so I put it on the backburner and it slipped right on out of my tired old brain.:D

Sorry Abra, it seemed (to me) you were implying you cancelled the order because they were late with the deleivery. Well that's what the first post seemed to imply.

So really you Just changed your mind, & they ignored you cancellation, even though they had yet deleived it. They probably assumed that you cancelled because they were late, so figured that if they deleived ASAP (well relative speaking, maybe not), you'll be happy. When they should have just deleived it to the next bloke on their backloged list, & refunded your payment.

Seeing you cancelled, before they sent it off, why don't you get your bank to halt payment, or refund the payment, or whatever. They'll do it for you, I'd assume - I ordered a Ba-mix, on some TV special & they charged me for it straight away, yet hadn't deleived it even 3 months later, so I got my bank to refunded my payment. Then not much later Ba-mix Australia went bankrupt & then later re-opened under new management, & a mate of mine (who also bought one on the same deal) said he took his docket down & they gave him one on the spot. So I rocked on down there & did the same thing, & they gave me one on the spot too. So I ended up getting one for nothing. 3 years later I've yet to hear from them.

"i don't appreciate you speaking of something you know nothing about. for all you know, i could have been born in cuba in 1949, lived in a 1 room house w/ 4 siblings, my mother, my aunt, and my grandmother, faced the wrath of communism and Castro in the 70's, sailed to Honduras in 71 as cargo of a ship in compartments so small that small children had trouble fitting into, let alone a grown man, lived in honduras for 10 years working menial jobs and being paid less than a teenage American working at Subway, moved to the United States in 82, attended College while working 3 jobs to help off-set the charges of my mother's medical bill after having her first stroke and needing hospitalization, and started my own import/export company only 10 years ago. and am now returning to college in hopes of selling my company and working for a large corporation."

BTW, seeing as Cuba is the only 3rd world nation with first world life expectancies (actually Cubans have the same life expectancies as Americans, well females live 1 year less in Cuba than they do in the US, while males live 1 year longer in Cuba than the US***See the SBS World Guide ), it seems as if Cubans are doing ok compared with the rest of the Latin Americans. Actually Blacks & Latinos have better life expectancies in Cuba than they do in the US. So they must be doing some things right. Really the only ones who lost out in the Cuban revolution, are the Batista cronies, the wealthy, corporate America & the mafia. Actually unlike any other 3rd world nationals, the 2 things that Cubans don't have to worry about are food & shelter (they also get free cradle to grave healthcare & education). Consequently Cubans are the best educated people in the whole of the America's & anyone born in Cuba is infinitly better off than the vast majority of people born in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Bolivia or Haiti or Guatamarla, etc, etc.

"Feel free to ignore that goofy crap from DaBrainDead. You must bear in mind that he lives in a socialist country. Worse yet, he thinks it's a good system."

Oh, look the superbitch of Anandtech, Russ of 9000 bloody posts has poped up, & blessed us with all the knowledge he's gained from travelling the world. Fact is Russ, Australia is a mixed economy, not a "socialist country". Really true communist, socialist or even capitalist economies, don't exist anywhere on this planet. Even the US is more of a mixed economy than a capitalist country. Actually, I wonder if it's more than a co-incidence that all the countries with economies that most resemble the capitalist ideal, are in the 3rd world, where the vast majority are dirt poor.

Sorry if I reacted so negatively to your post Abra, (maybe it was the caps lock, not that I can talk:)). It's just that lately all I hear, here in Sydney is poeple complaining of the olympics (traffic, aircraft noise, prices going up, rents going up, crowds, can't get to work, bloody tourists, etc, etc). So I've just had it with people whingeing. So really that was what my reaction to your post was. When really you were just warning people to be weary with dealing with the Overclockerx store.
