I decided that I was going to order an HP Photosmart 1218. I wanted to get in on the 200 dollar rebate that HP had. I called HP on the 27th and they said that there was an error on the rebate and it would end on the 27th. I placed the order at Buydig.com because they had a 5 out of 7 rating at resellerratings.com. On top of the 5/7 score, over a hundred people reviewed them. So I thought that I had nothing to lose. Well, I thought wrong. I placed the order for the printer at Buydig.com on the 27th. I got a confirmation e-mail saying that my order was in the system (and more importantly said that I bought the printer on the 27th). On the website, it said that it would take 3 to 5 days to get the printer in stock. I decided to wait because the invoice would say that I bought it on the 27th. I called yesterday, 3 days after I placed the order and got the confirmation e-mail, they said that the order wasn't in the system yet and that I should call the next day after 11 AM. I called today and they said that the order wasn't in the system yet and to call back tomorrow past 11 AM. I told them that's what they told me yesterday. So they started looking for the order. After 20 minutes, they said that they couldn't find the order and it had been lost. I was going to forget about it and re-order the printer. I asked them to make sure the invoice said that I bought the printer on the 27th (the last day to be eligible for the 200 dollar rebate). They said that they couldn't do that. I told them that I had to have the invoice dated on the 27th to get the rebate. They just told me that mistakes like this happen. So, since THEY messed up the order, I have to pay the extra 200 dollars.

I called HP and asked them what I could do about it. They said that when I bought the printer I could send in the confirmation e-mail that said that I bought it on the 27th, but it was not guaranteed that I would get the $200 rebate. So I decided not to buy the printer.

I have to pay the price because of Buydig.com's mistakes. On top of all this, I could here them snickering in the background while they were talking with me. They must be having lots of fun losing big orders like this one. This is a 400 dollar printer that I was going to buy from them.

Just had to get that out of my system...

Have any of you had problems with Buydig.com?

EDIT: I wanted to warn anyone who reads this to not buy from Buydig.com. They are rude people who don't give a crap about their customers. If my mistake of trying to buy from them does not help anyone else, then so be it. But you are warned not to buy from them.

So none of you had a problem with Buydig.com? You must have had pretty good luck with them then. Have any of you bought this printer? Is it worth the trouble? Is the quality pretty good?

they tried to convince me that the kodak bundle qualified for the rebate, when in fact it didn't. when i let them know that it didn't qualify, they were like uhhhh oops, nevermind. other than that, i found them pretty good service-wise. keep in mind that i never had to return anything though. as long as you know what you're doing, and you don't have any unforseen problems like DOA's, then you're ok.
