I got into a big argument over my bill with Sprint rep. (boy, they are pain in the azz)
The problem on my bill is that they miscount my over minute.
I have 250 min peak hour and 2250 off peak hour.
I count it myself and found out I only have 37 min over instead of 58 min.

The mistakes is this (check your bill)
say if you make a call at 7:56pm and end at 8:10pm.
the charges should be 4 peak min and 10 off peak min.
(ask them this first, they should confirm that)
but on the bill it is one charges of 14 peak minutes. instead of 2 separate charges.
(regular phone company does this, so no problem there)
with that I get about $6 back for one month.
it may be not much but if they do this every month to thousands of customers, then how much they gain ?
check your bill again, look carefully, even if it said included.
maybe you will find some discrepancies.

So, does your Sprint PCS bill have that kind of error ?

My mentally challenged parental unit signed me up with AAA for 3 years on a cell phone. I get 10 minutes a month for $20 for 3 years! Oh, but I get free calls to AAA.

At least I ain't paying for it. Parents are brilliant at times.

well, look at the bright side, you will always have AAA help anytime, no off peak hours.

Yea. I just need to get all my friends to start working at AAA.

Oh, and the phone blows my mind. I think it has a 4 minute battery life.

same thing here, even for a piddly $6, they refuse to credit me for THEIR mistakes.
The rude rep even said that that's how the computer works, I can't do anything, so I won't credit your bill.
I said, let me talk to your supervisor, the rep went quiet for a while and then said yeah I'll credit you for $6 (with rude tone, no less).

That's incorrect. Check your Sprint PCS Terms and Conditions. If a call *begins* during peak service hours (i.e. 7:56pm) and ends in another service hour, you are billed at the peak rate. It's always been that way. Not that your logic is wrong, but that's just not the way Sprint PCS does business :D

I haven't found any discrepancies, but I notice they have a funny way of calculating certain things. :)

OMG, i battled their incompetant CSR's for hours over this.I was overcharged on three seperate occassions for upwards of 200 bucks. It was clear according to the itemization that I was correct...but their calculations were off. You cant imagine how long and frustrating of a process it was to fix it.

arg, that puts me in a bad mood.

DanJ:
SprintPCS has a plan called the Vacation Plan. It is $5 a month with no minutes, and $1 a minute charge, and no voicemail. It is a good thing if you are locked in a contract and trying to get out.

that's how they bill. it says that plainly when you sign up on their website (albeit in small print)

<< Night & Weekend Minutes can be used Monday through Thursday, 8pm - 7am, and Friday 8pm through Monday 7am. Calls are rated based on start time. For example, if a call begins at 7:55pm, and ends at 8:05pm, it does not qualify for Night & Weekend minutes. >>

My first SprintPCS bill was $342. I freaked out. I made one call to their 1-800 number and got all the duplicate charges removed. They even took off all my overage minutes. In about 5 minutes, we were down to $150, just as I had expected. I've had good luck with them so far, except for the 1 hour hold times. But I normally take care of this on weekneeds, when I'm on the road for 4 hours.
