<< So if we still go to the store will we get it $59.00 or $79.00? I have to wait till friday to pick one up and hope the deal still is their. >>

at the store...its really $99...minus $20 instant rebate. so u will front $79+tax...then get two mail in rebate coupons, one for $20 and one for $30. so in the end, it will run u about $30 and change....still a pretty good deal on a router :)

EDIT - well some ppl r just lucky bucks....but i'm pretty certain that the above deal is what most will end up getting...

I went to BB on Monday and they had one router left and the shelf tag read $49.99 - $30 MIR = $19.99. There were tons of NICs and the shelf tag read $10 - $10 MIR = FREE! I picked both up and some other free after rebate stuff and checked out. The router rand up at $79.99 and the NIC rang up at $15. The register spit out 2 rebates for each item, $30 and $20 ones for the router and $10 and $5 ones for the NIC, along with the rebate receipts. Later that evening I went back and verified the shelf tags and carried them up to the Customer Service desk and they adjusted the price to reflect the shelf tags and gave me about $38 back. I will end up making $5 on the deal, well it will cover the tx so I get both for FREE.

Lots left and $59.99 price on the shelf. Rang up $79.99, pm and got it for $59.99 and both rebates. Went back two days later for the free keyboard and they still didn't change the price, even after I walked back and showed it to them for the PM. Good deal. Now I can easily pull stuff off my friend's laptop.

Got mine at $79.99, but it is still a good deal. Got it up and runing in a few minutes and I hasn't failed once in two days. The only problem is that the built in firewall is cutting of my x-manager conection and now I cannot to connect to my XP system IP address through IIS. Anybody know how to deal with the firewall and how to set it up to allow my programs to run and allow outside access to my computer wof web and remote desktop services.

Thanks

THis is a nice router. The PPOE connection is established faster than the stupid WINpoet I used to have to use...

does anybody know, here what happen to me.
First i order the router for $59.99 for store pick up, then after Dec 1st they send me e-mail said that my BB store didn't have it anymore but there's one in other store and they can ship it for free.
Then, because i change the shipping method (from in store pick up to delivery) she (the customer representative) told me to reorder it back again.
Then i reorder it, even it said $99, she said that she will price adjust the price to be $59.99. so i'm not worried.
but what i'm worried is about the rebate, do u guys think it will work the rebate for me? She said yes, but i'm still not sure with what she said :) because my online receipt would be mark after 12/1.
I was thinking to send it both of them. anybody know how this kind of thing would work?

Hate to bump a dead deal, but my conclusion is that the online Best Buy $20 rebate form is just wrong (based on the offer #). I wish I had a print out of the web site when it was advertising both rebates for the product as proof though (I don't mean the rebate forms themselves, those are still there).

I'll try to get Best Buy B&M to print out paper rebate forms later today (last time I was there, I was told they don't have them in the system anymore).

If anyone still has the B&M rebate form (at least the Best Buy $20 one), please scan it and hook us up. :)

Worse case scenario, it'll be $64.xx (after tax) - $30 (manufacturer rebate) for us online orderers.

:(Yes, please, if anyone can scan the $20 rebate form from the register that would be great! When I asked them to print out the rabate form at the store yesterday (purchased at the right time) all that would come up was the $30 rebate form. I need the $20 that says they will accept a copy of the UPC, everything online rebate says "original UPC" and the way rebates get bounced for any reason, I'm not looking to give them one.
Thanks

Today the online price is back up to $99.99

And the D-Link rebates ended 12/1/2001

So this deal is dead, dead, doubly dead.

Would have been a nice deal, though!

seatrain,

Send me an email w/ your mailing address and I'll mail you a $20 rebate form.

If anybody else wants one, swing by your local Best Buy w/ the router SKU and they'll print the rebate forms for you. Or I can scan it and email you a printable image. Personally, I'd rather get an original at the B&M.

If you missed out on the original $59.99 price on these, it is back at $59.99 on the BB website. I got mine for $30.00 AR, and I simply brought in the webpage print-out to customer service and asked for a price adjustment. Total price? $9.99! Go for it, if it's still up.

I do not believe that the 704 has a print server built in, but it can connect to a computer or server with a printer. The router itself is very nice and fast and perfectly stable. You need to know how to open ports in the firewall to be able to use some features but other then that it's great.

One question though. does anybody know if it is UPnP compliant ar not. It would be great if it is.

Thanks

Elkinm -

I put it in my basket and it said 99.99-40.00. I can't link to it because it's my basket. Put it in your basket and see if that works. If so, print it and go to customer service!
