Hi guys. I don't know if this is a great deal or not, but I've been in the market for about at least a month for a laptop since a tragic incident with my Presario 1720's LCD. I haven't been looking at Toshiba's much because as far as I understand they're generally a more expensive brand (although maybe that's what I need after my last computer...). Although I've seen some relatively inexpensive one's floating around, maybe the specs aren't that great, but here they are:

I got this laptop a while back (do a search on tecra and you'll see the deal thread). Let me tell you how much I love this lappy. It is great.

Mine only has a 14" screen, but was over $200 cheaper and had a 3yr warranty.

I'd say this is a warm deal. Great lappy though. If you do buy it be sure to update the bios to fix (what was a very annoying) keyboard/mouse problem.

Edit: Be sure to check here as well. It is a bit cheaper.
