I'm in the market for an LCD. Trying to find out whats good and all. From what i've seen, thats a pretty decent price...anyone have any experience with that moniter?

I'm guess you could probably just throw another 15 or 20 printable coupon on there and get it for closer to $350

It a very good monitor. Here are the specs.

Contrast Ratio 600:1
Viewing Angle (H/V) 160/140

I'm going to pick one up myself. I've got a $30 off $150 coupon so that will bring it down to $350 for me. Too bad the 12% off customer appreciation ends on Sat. 12% off would've been even better.

Previous, I'd had a 20" Sony CRT. Stepping down to a 17" LCD was a shock, initally. The transation was made less painful by the 712N. I've been using the 712N for the past 6 weeks. After using their 'Magic' configuration utility, the monitor has been delightful. I read lots of text and it is very clear. The 12ms response time is nice for the few games that I play.

Mine came with two dead pixels so make sure of the vendor policy regarding dead pixels before you buy.

Manufacturers are typically 8 or more dead pixels. For staples, if you're within the 14 day return policy, you can return it for any reason.

Not thread crapping, but I've had nothing but trouble with these sharpeners. I got one FAR sometime last year and I've had to take it back to Staples 2 times for exchanges. Weak motor and blades.

In case anyone wants to know. I got this moniter....3 times. First two times that i came home with this, it had dead pixels. After that I just gave up on that store, went to another store, and had them test it out for me in the store to make sure I didn't go home with dead pixels again. First one had 2 dead pixels side by side i think. Second one had 3 dead pixels. Third one didn't have any. Its a really nice moniter though, quite happy with it. But it did take some effort. I got it for $350 or so.

[Q[VTech trim-style phone - FREE after MIR - SKU: 510994
$16.99 - $3 instant savings - $14 Staples MIR = FREE
[/quote]

I submitted a rebate request for 7 of these, but only got one check
(terms and conditions stated max 10 rebates per address)

Staples rebates wants me to resubmit for the other rebates in 6
seperate envelopes.

Anybody else in the same boat?

I am going to get stung by the same thing on Staple's pencil
sharpener deal... can I get away with submitting 6 copies
in one envelope?

I submitted 4 pencil sharpener rebates online and then mailed them 2 to an envelope (marked on the envelopes and the papers that there were 2 rebate forms inside). All 4 were approved and the checks issued.

I would try calling again and see if a different CSR can help you.

Good luck!
