Just today, I had to mail some package. I go to the post office and the entire parking lot is full. I finally find a space, walk inside, go right past the 20+ people in line and hand the clerk my box, and then walk out, getting dirty looks from everyone who is still waiting in line. Well worth the the effort when something like that happens. And if the package is small enough, just stick it in the mailbox and never leave your vehicle

I sign up a few days ago, the scale DEFINTIELY don't worth $50, I would say like $10 at most,
cheaply pastic built, made in china..

I believe that u have to go through 2 billing cycle 15.99*2 = $32 in order to be eligible for the free scale

but u got...

1. $25 free postage
2. $25 cr@pusa gift card (may take a while)
3. $50 scale, looks like $10 scale thought
4. a welcome kit with a few label and envelope

$ 60 value for $32 spend
I would say not bad..

as for billing concern, sign up service with ONE-TIME use credit card #, which usually expired within a month, so even u call and stamps.com FORGET to cancel the a/c, they can NOT bill your credit card

This is an old deal, but nonetheless just a warning, you will pay more. They "do not receive your request to cancel" until later - conveniently after they get another 1-2 months of service you will not use since you think you are done with it. Kind of a rip-off but YMMV.

Now that USPS allows postage to be purchased online, and give free delivery confirmation for online Priority purchases, there is no longer a reason to pay stamps.com a 10% premium, plus $1.99 per month - and have to pay for DC.

Please don't start another long-winded thread about how USPS is a ripoff, or the validity of DC - there are plenty of threads on this.

I got in on this deal months ago. Then it was with a digital scale ( which I love & need ). I did have to pay for 2 billing cycles (15.99 ea).

I called to cancel and also cancelled via the internet. No additional charges ever showed up on my card. I loved the service but could not justify the cost since I'm not a big user. Of course there is Pitney Click Stamp at $1.49 monthly. But Stamps.com was better.

Another confirmation to be careful. Its a good deal and you can make out good on it, but, just be careful as they don't like to cancel as soon as you want them to. :) And you may get an extra billing cycle...

ANother warning: After preparing a loa dof boxes to be shipped out Monday, I mistakenly Printed the stamps on SUNDAY. Silly me, 3 months later, I got the refund. Translation: You have to print and mail for priority the same day and you can't print on Sunday. Same crap with cancellation. In the end, it was NOT worth the hassle.

There was a thread here with a Pitney Clickstamp free month code. The thread is now vapor.

Anyone have the code???

EDIT: Found it. $10 free plus 1 free month. Link

By the way, Stamps.com is too expensive, and too much of a hassle. I never had any problem in cancelling (I did it twice, and still have their free scale), but the Personal Post meter is a better buy, with no printing restrictions. More convenient, too, as you don't have to fiddle with your computer. Ink is expensive it you buy it from PB, but you can buy refill kits or cheap cartridges on line or Ebay. The scale they send is crap, though (the Stamps.com one is better). 60 days free, usually. If you cancel, they'll even pay for return shipping.

i got it the deal long time ago. not sure if the digital scale is still the same, but the one I got can only weigh up to 10lbs.

anyway, still a good deal for what you get.
