I picked a bunch up at this price and some more at 109$. The 2 per household kinda sucks.

Warm indeed. I picked one of these up a few months ago when outpost had them for 99.99 with free shipping. Like many others, I got the 7200.10. It's a rediculously fast and large drive. Good deal.

How's the noise/heat of these drives? I've been debating for a while whether to go with these or the WD500.

If you are worried about noise and heat, I'd go with samsung which i use in my bedroom. According to storagereview these while not burners on the speed front are oftentimes quiet and cool. Same price too:

i picked up 1 when they were $109. the drive itself does make some crunching noises when its being accessed and gets a little warm. the samsung's are much quieter and cooler, however the seagate 'feels' faster.

I got one of these drives earlier this month from Fry's when it was $109 with free shipping. Unfortunately, I got one of the 7200.9 models. It is very quiet though and comes with the 5 year warranty.
