Warm: Seagate 200GB Serial $113 Tax Included at Dell

Found this at one of the deal sites...

For those who aren't big fans of TD (selling this drive for a similar amount) Dell has a 25% off storage devices coupon floating out there. Price comes to 113 tax included (sorry, I forgot to get the price before tax.) Dell also carries WD, Maxtor and its own brand so there may be other deals to be had.

Edit: Link to Dell Small Business Hard Drives

way to thread crap. And i would rally like to know where you got your seagate 200gb sata hd from for 79 bucks without out a rebate. Oh yeah you never did.

Just ignore people who have no ability to judge which is PATA and which is SATA. They are just living in a day when all the HDDs were only PATA (or SCSI). Just they have no idea how they are outdated.

You were getting ripped off because you used your *magic* time machine to go ahead 10 years in the future to buy it. Or wait, maybe you're just retarded and didn't get one for that price? LMFAO Dumba$$!

This isn't a thread that should be posted. These drives sell for much less than $113.

I did buy a SATA WITH rebates from CC locally.

The discussion wasn't about with or without rebates.

And I'll ignore you for being ignorant as to my comprehension as to what was posted.

Great you got one from LOCAL. (Ya, sure, I got Raptor for 50 at my local dealer, who cares)

And these drives are not sold for less than $ 113 after tax. I checked Pricewatch and other price search engine, and some of them have price lower than $ 113 as you say, but BEFORE tax. Most retailers with such prices were CA-based, which make up more expensive than $ 113.

I mean, this is not a super duper hottest deal ever, but it's at least warm, but you are saying it's the worst deal ever. Come on, show some respects to OP who wants to share some deal while you only can say "I got it cheaper." Same for the raptor. I remember back when we could have 74 Raptor at Fry's for like 125 after rebate. But it's past, and it's gone. Who cares about the deal a year ago. If you can't give us better deal in front our eyes, just don't thread crap.

you're still a thread crapper.

Bought these about 3months ago 5 for $145 each off newegg and 1 came with a $25 rebate

LOL!!! Sorry buddy, but I follow prices pretty well and I know that is a total lie. The cheapest Newegg has ever had them is $173-$25 rebate=$148. That's a fact....

I like to see posts for decent deals that dont include rebates. There are many times i need to get more than 1 drive at a time. Sure, you can find a single drive cheaper after PM, rebate, etc etc. Who wants to deal with that all the time. Thanks for the heads up OP.

I don't want to beat a dead horse or fuel the debate, but is there something I'm missing? I did say "warm" (not "hot" or "blazing") and I didn't include "AR" in the title. Is there an abbreviation for those of us who don't like rebates to post deals, say like NRR (no rebate required) that could be helpful??? Rebate deals can often be great, don't get me wrong, but lots of us don't like laying out more money up front in the hope (yes, one may be denied) of getting back more some months later, possibly after having to make tons of calls. I'm not interested (or trying) to debate the merits of rebates - that's an individual choice. I only want to know if there is something I could have added to this to have been more helpful. Again, I don't want to prolong this thread - arguing isn't interesting to me - but simply want to know if there's a better way of posting so that everyone clearly understands what type of offer is being conveyed. Again, my understanding is that if it has a rebate add "AR" to the title, if not, add as is (and members should then assume it's a no rebate deal.)
