Thanks for the info OP, I've been waiting for this to come out.

Although Afterglow isn't her *best* album (Surfacing still is), Sarah Mclachlan remains what most modern musicians (including Metallica, incidentally) CANNOT lay claim to being: An actual *Artist*.

is this available in the store?

grumble apparently not. atleast at the ones i called. borders had stock, but at 18.99..so thats a no go. with all the bragging about walmarts highly techno fancy inventory system it seems their employees don't even have consoles or whatever to run searches😛 guess its online buy time.

Are all the tracks on this live?

yea, something like 70 minutes of cd music, 140? of dvd video...thats from memory so its probably in the ballpark.🙂

and yes she's one of the few real deals around for those who whine about there being no good artists these days.

*edit n/m i found the track info

The CD/DVD set "Afterglow Live," which chronicles McLachlan's summer 2004 tour, hit stores earlier this month. The DVD sports 23 tracks, plus the three music videos from "Afterglow," among other features. The CD includes 15 tracks.http://www.livedaily.com/news/7384.html?t=98

I got mine yesterday. I'm a bit dissapointed though, it has some crappy copy protection. I would like to rip this CD for my Muvo. Anyone find a way to do this?

eac!(exact audio copy-freeware) i've never met a copy protected disc i couldn't rip. it can even use the lame mp3 codec(which isn't "lame" it is the best mp3 codec-also freeware) to go straight to mp3. that or use some frontend like razorlame if u feel the need

Checked out two Walmart BMs, both scanned at 19.88.
FYI, Bestbuy website has it for $17.99, but BM price is $19.99.
Check www.jandr.com, they had it for $9.99 BF weekend, now $17.99, but maybe they'll drop it again.

Bought mine at BB b&m the tuesday it came out (i didnt even know it existed till i saw it on a table while browsing, was in the store to get the new U2) for 14.99.

I have autoplay disabled on all my pc's so nothing can be loaded from a cd/dvd till i tell it to run.

CDex ripped it just fine, and i had it on my iRiver within 10 minutes of getting home.

Yeah walmart are idiots. I ordered something and after it hadn't shipped in 10 days I cancelled. Turned out the thing was backordered even though they had it listed as in stock. :|
