(Warm) Sapphire HD4770 ~$90 (No rebate needed)

This is just a die shrunk version of the 4830, just uses about 20 watts less power. I picked up mine about 3 months ago for less than $75.

not quite, but it should perform approximately the same spec wise, but the die design is completely different.

Its more correct to probably say its a 4670 with double the shaders

Memory bandwidth is still close to the same. In Fact my 4830 does 57 GB/sec on a 256 bit bus, the 4770 is listed at 51GB/sec on a 128 bit bus. The 4770 does have a clock speed advantage though and will most likely OC more.

The unreleased ASUS TOP 4770 is supposed to get 971 Mhz on the core and 4600 MHz on the memory using the reference design cooler.

But I have to agree with you though some of these 4830 deals are pretty appealing to me (especially if they have a free game like Stalker Clear Sky)

The 4850 is also in the same same price ballpark. So I would say the best price out of those three as they are almost the same card.
 
yeah, the card only packs 512mb on-board ram. what arkcom said is a bit misleading if he meant otherwise. man, now I wish I held off on my 4830 purchase. that card has served me well for FO3 and GRID though, so I got my money's worth 🙂

Yes, I meant VRAM. The only time the 4890 beats the crossfired 4770's is at very high res with AA.

Maybe 20 - 30 watts more. Considering how hot video cards have been over the last three years the 4770, 4830, and 4850 are all in the same ballpark performance and power wise. Frankly it would be foolish and not an upgrade to switch between any of them.
 
High resolution on my computers means on 30" LCDs so going to have to go with single 285's or above 🙂 The 4890 or nice however.
 
yea, the price was $90 that's why it was a good deal. That means you get two for CF for $180, which is a great! But at $100, hmm might have to think twice 😀
