seems like a pretty good deal. i mean its refurb, but i think an indilinx is still probably a better drive than a newer jmicron probably.

plus no rebates. 3% back i think if you use e-bates. or some of those other cashback sites.

I bit...honestly I'm more worried about TD than the SSD itself. A year warranty through the manufacturer gives me a bit more confidence in the quality of the SSD.

Just one caveat, most indilinx have extremely higher write amplification than the average or norm.

You may need to use an adapter then, unless you just want it sitting there (not a BIG problem as long as it never moves)

I've never used an Indilux drive, but I heard that the latest frimware finally fixes a lot of issues, and enables TRIM, etc...

This is tempting, but who knows perhaps these were reset with write cycles to last for one year? Been wanting 256GB ssd for 1$ a GB, really wished the WD deal wasnt so short lived. Well if you select two of these SSDS it eliminates eco ship of 2.30$ and lowest rate would be more than double that to my zip code, weird usually buying more means less in shipping.

Or just use rubber/elastic bands tied through the screw holes for the 3.5" bays. I use hair binders; just the right size and length.

Or just drill one extra hole in the drive cage to match the side holes on the SSD and screw it in on one side. Plenty secure and free.

freaking ups said it was delivered at 4pm to "lady at house"!!! well my mother-inlaw was at the house all day and she never signed for anything. one of my neighbors is enjoying my drive. now i have to wait till monday to talk to ups. what pisses me off is the wife is out of town this weekend so i paid for next day air for nothing!!!!!
