got mine, looks ok, boots up. One question though, isnt the fan on the north bridge supposed to be spinning from bootup? or does it kick in later? Very worried, because i havent seen it spin yet. :(

The NB fan should spin from bootup.. but I dont think it even needs a fan so you should be ok :)

Just make sure you have decent case cooling

I will never buy refurbished stuff from NewEgg! I bought a refurbished MB and refurbished case last time. They were both dead when they arrived!

Can I ask how a case is dead? :D

LOL...i would also like to see an answer to this question ;)

I jumped on this deal four months ago as well and the mobo I received looked new and came with cables and manual in the box.
It worked fine until 3 days ago. Now it won't even post. Although it could be a problem with my cpu or power supply, I'm betting that its the mobo. Just thought I would let you all know...

edit: oh, if any of you can recommend a good replacement, let me know. i will truly appreciate it.

I ordered this last week when they were back in stock. Received on 9/9/02 what appears to be a new mobo complete with manual, CDs, and cables. Haven't tried it yet. Hopefully, it's not the ones returned by Gsethi and Kurix :D

Epox northbridge fans have been known to fail. Mine failed after about 2 months. You don't need the northbridge fan, using just the heatsink works fine unless you are overclocking. They seem to have some crappy sleeve fan on it. If you are really concerned about it you can buy a new heatsink/fan from Epox for $10+ shipping.

Finally got around to installing the "refurb"--works like a charm!! I've got it running with a XP1600, Volcano 7+, 384MB of PNY brand DDR2100, and GF4.

Newegg now has a bunch of very nice KT333 refurb mobos:
